 Job Dimensions:

Job Purpose:
To give strategic direction to the business in terms of product development and product life cycle management in order to meet business targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Give strategic direction to the company in terms of business objectives.
Identify and exploit opportunities resulting in market and revenue growth Participate in the formulation of business plan and all business objectives to meet project expectations.
Champion product development from concept to product life cycle management Champion opportunities for products and service enhancements matching market needs with technological advancements Build Return on Investment (ROI) models for new product initiatives.
Carry-out extensive customer needs assessments by segment with documented rationalized results, (market surveys, customer visits, sales team, etc.)
Actively research emerging technologies so as to grow and/or protect revenues and market share Effective management of projects and evaluation of outcomes.
Interact extensively with markets to make sure the products and services are effectively communicated to the market Effectively communicate with all key. stakeholders II of new products and initiatives in line with company strategy.
Sell product ideas and concepts to the organization through formal and informal channels.
Making detailed reports as and when required
Develop staff as per succession plan.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Product Development team.

Requirement:
University graduate B.Sc Food Technology, MBA.
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in both Food Business Industry and Enterprise
General experience in project management with specific experience in diverse food processing management
Must be business oriented with the ability to think and manage strategically, plan and meet deadlines
Must be dynamic, self starter and a net worker

Excellent commercial awareness and business development skills
Widely informed with the global outlook (well exposed)
Ability to work and build cross-functional teams
Very good analytical skills
Very good project management skills
Highly developed communication skills both written and oral; being able to exchange information with others clearly and concisely
Ability to balance technical and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technical and business experts
Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines when work speed and sustained accuracy are paramount
