Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:
Reporting to the Sub Program Manager, this position is responsible for undertaking quality psycho-social counseling support interventions to traumatized persons of concern populations with the objective of empowering them with life skills to face challenges and employ appropriate morally upright coping mechanisms for a sustainable society.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in counseling and/social work (sciences) with a strong bias towards counseling and social work.
2 years experience in psycho-social or post trauma counseling
Other Competencies
Socio-Economic counseling skills Knowledge in Behavioral Change Communication and substance abuse prevention programming
Experience in sexual and gender based violence support counseling
Ability to tolerate cultural, educational and religious diversity in the work place

Job Description:
The National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) is established by the National Agricultural Research Act 2005 as a body corporate responsible for the coordination and oversight of all aspects of agricultural research in Uganda. The Director General (NARO) invites suitably qualified Ugandans to apply for the following positions at the organisation Secretariat, Entebbe.
Job Requirements:
Reports to: Head Quality Assurance
Salary Grade: UR 4.
Overall Responsibility:
He /She will be responsible for facilitating the development of standard operating procedures and guidelines for research and administration in NARO.
Main Duties:
• Develop, disseminate and update quality assurance standards and guidelines for the management and delivery of research service
• Design and implement quality management training programs for scientists and technicians.
• Guide the process of developing Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs)and guidelines for research and administration;
• Develop guidelines for SOP preparation, approval, tracking, review, and archival;
• Develop a system for monitoring compliance with agreed standards;
• Register and maintain a database of Agricultural Research Service Providers;
• Develop a document control systems for all agreed SOPs;
• Vet research projects for compliance with SOP requirements and checklists prior to funding;
• Performing any other duties as shall be officially assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• A masters degree in biological sciences, agricultural economics, agribusiness or Business Administration.
• Minimum of five years of relevant quality planning and management experience in a busy organization
• Experience in training on and standards and quality compliance.
• Proven experience and ability to manage people, processes and technology.
