Job Description
Job Role: these are key leadership positions in the newsroom and the persons will be expected to ensure the production of exceptional quality news bulletins for NTV. Working in conjunction with the news manager, the persons shall be expected to convince, conceive, conceive, concretize and execute all NTV news bulletins
Responsibilities:
• Drive the editorial content generation process
• Brief, debrief, guide, and monitor reporters to ensure story deadlines are achieved within specified times
• Edit news scripts, write headlines and make key decisions on story aesthetics
• Should be able to deploy and effectively manage news crews on location
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Basic university degree
• Post graduate training in journalism
• At least 4 years experience in the media industry
• A keen eye for detail
• Demonstrable experience in editing TV news scripts
• Ability to work independently, yet as a member of a team, in a fast paced, multi- cultural environment
