Billing Supervisor

The position reports to the Senior Roaming Coordinator.

The main purpose of the job is: – to assist in analyzing Roaming data and general roaming management:

Prime responsibilities of the positions:

Assume effective first line leadership, management and supervision of the billing section.
Ensure that all postpaid clients have been accurately and timeously billed for their usage.
Following on from bill preparation, supervise the process of internal archival, printing, packing and distribution/delivery of resultant bills to the end user. (Including managing contracted partners.)
Ensure timeous resolution of, and provide feedback on, raised customer billing queries/disputes.
Effective and efficient management of MTN’s print shop solution. (Both equipment and consumables.)
Generate periodical reports to assist senior management in the making of tactical and strategic decisions with regard to bill quality, service quality and customer relationship management.
Implement audit action points in the billing section.
Support revenue assurance and billing assurance initiatives.
Develop, implement and ensure adherence to billing policies and processes.
Drive e-billing uptake and maintain set targets for e-billing.
Ensure efficiency of human resources by implementing motivation strategies, coaching and mentoring, knowledge management, training and performance management to enable the team to achieve its full potential.
To uphold MTN’s customer charter and support service delivery and customer retention initiatives.

A Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline.

The main purpose of the job is:

Prime responsibilities of the position:

Ensure costs are minimised in line with the Least Cost Operator strategy.
Ensure regular meetings and interaction with allocated management in order to highlight and address staffing related risks as well as manage expectations.
Ensure all line managers are appropriately informed around employee relation issues and their role as management in order to guarantee a common understanding and approach.
Ensure all reports are produced and submitted within the allocated deadlines in order to provide the relevant feedback to management.

Senior Engineer II – Planning & Optimization Level 3 (16)

Reports to the Manager Radio Planning & Optimization.

Main purpose of the job;

The Senior Engineer II (Engineer Optimization Team Leader) is required to spearhead all the radio access network optimization efforts of the Radio Planning Department. This involves developing strategies for parameter tuning, site upgrades, configuration management, site cutovers, and traffic balancing, as well as for drive testing arid benchmarking on a weekly and monthly basis.
The team leader is also required to come up with the optimization theme, and coordinate all efforts to achieve the network Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as dropped call rate, call setup success rate, blocked call rate and others.
The team leader must also be able to carry out research on new solutions, and implement timely and high quality value added services to ensure that MTN remains the market leader in innovation and quality.
Prime responsibilities of the position:

Carrying out regular traffic analysis, and ensuring that the planned future capacity expansions will be sufficient.
Ensuring that Optimization routines are adhered to by the regional optimization team leaders.
Coordinating with the Quality assurance and Customer service department through the service desk to ensure that all customer complaints are addressed within the allowed time limits.
Providing a monthly optimization activity plan and working with regional team leaders to implement it.
Be responsible for overall network parameter to ensure optimal network performance.
Control all parameter changes on the network.
Define drive test routes and managing drive testing and benchmarking of the radio network.
Identify new feature requirements to improve network performance.
Managing regular network frequency planning and implementation activities
Requirement:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Telecommunications engineering.
At least 4 years’ experience in a very busy environment, carrying out radio network optimization activities such as parameter tuning, capacity optimization, drive testing and benchmarking as well as managing daily, weekly and monthly radio network performance. Should have been in a supervisory position for at least 1 year.

A valid driving license with at least one year of driving experience.

Senior Engineer – Roaming & interconnect
The position is in the network department and reports directly to the Principal Engineer – Roaming, Earth Station & Interconnect.
The main purpose of the job is to set up roaming and interconnect services, traffic QoS monitoring and optimisation by traffic engineering and provide second level support in troubleshooting of network failures, as well as manage the foaming VAS solutions, earth station and roaming hub services, liaise with carriers, the SCCP provider, the SMS transit hub and the GPRS roaming exchange hub. Fraud monitoring, risk management and implementing preventive measures will also form part of the successful candidate’s duties.
Prime responsibilities of the position include:
Perform international roaming tests (for prepaid, postpaid and GPRS services) and documentation according to GSMA recommendations.
Set up new interconnects, perform interconnect C7 signaling, switching and billing tests for new partners.
Load the roaming data on the network nodes and test the signaling functionality.
Perform functional routine/ad hoc roaming and interconnect tests/duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Co-ordinate the troubleshooting of network problems that affect the roaming and interconnect services.
Update and maintain the interconnect databases and the roaming information on GSMA portal.
Monitor interconnect traffic performance indicators continuously, like ASR, to ensure high quality of service and optimisation of the interconnects.
Inform all relevant stakeholders about faults and complaints regarding roaming and interconnect.
Perform network audits of the roaming and interconnect configurations.
Support roaming value-added services, and liaise with equipment suppliers.
Prepare documentation and management reports.
Liaise with the capital projects department in connection with roaming and interconnect.

Requirement:

A Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering.
At least 3 years’ experience in the telecoms industry.
Knowledge of the telecommunications and IT industry; GSM 2G/GPRS/UMTS/ LTE.
Data networks and IP troubleshooting skills.
Understand signaling protocols plus SS7 over TDM and IP.

promotional plans and market specific events for the segment that addresses market needs, commercial requirements and keeps MTN at the forefront of the competition in the medium value segment of the telecommunications arena.

Prime responsibilities of the positions:

Requirement:
A minimum qualification of a Degree in Marketing is a must. Postgraduate marketing training, preferably CIM, is an added advantage. The applicant must possess at least three years’ experience in marketing or brand marketing in a busy competitive environment. Telecommunications experience is an added advantage.
Further still, the applicant must have knowledge and understanding of consumer behaviour, understanding of marketing and market research principles, understanding of mobile technology, financial understanding, organisational, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills, must be task oriented and possess an eye for detail.

Job summary

The credit control team leader’s job is to implement and maintain an effective credit control system and minimize credit risk while maintaining an adept level of customer service delivery.

Job description

•    Ensure achievement of monthly debt collection targets.
•    Ensure adequate customer contact is done before account balanes become overdue.
•    Build relationships with internal and external customers.
•    Set and monitor appropriate credit limits in a converged billing environment that minimizes bad debt and misuse of telecommunication services.
•    Motivate team performance, enabling adequate work cover to be provided at all times.
•    Ensure that payments are correctly allocated to the appropriate account and against the appropriate invoice(s).
•    Respond to customer queries within your portfolio of accounts.

Qualifications
•    Degree in accounting or Business Administration.
•    Partial (level 2) profession Accountancy qualification or its equivalent.
•    At least three years’ credit control experience in a large, busy service organization.
•    Must possess excellent computer skills especially in MS Office applications.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to be fair but resolute when dealing with customers.
