Job Title: Sub Editor Orumuri
Reports to: Editor Orumuri
Edit stories in standard grammar and ensure that they are balanced and fair and suit Orumuri house style and editorial policy. The copy must there be free of liberal and inaccuracies, logical, coherent and appealing to the reader to the readers and read make the news paper credible and authorities
Where necessary, rewrite , crop , restructure and re angle the story in consultation with writers and sub editors
Write catchy words headlines and captions that suit the stories and photos and attract readers
Coach and provide feed back to the writers to ensure stories are multi sourced
Design , novel attractive easy navigate pages that enhance the readers friendly house style

Qualifications
A Bachelors Degree from a recognized university
Proficiency in written and spoken Runyankole / Rukiga
Computer literacy especially in Microsoft word , adobe and photo shop
At least a working experience of 3 years as a journalist
Ability to work under tight deadlines
