POST:  Instrumentation Technician.

Qualification    :               Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
Experience        :               3 years working in the relevant field.
Practical experience in a manufacturing industry in a similar position will be an added advantage.

POST:Project Mentors (2 positions)

Duty Station: Jinja, Hoima Uganda
Description:
The objective of this assignment is for the purpose of supporting capacity building activities for routine immunization
service delivery and surveillance in Busoga and Bunyoro regions of Uganda.
Period of performance
Starting immediately for a period of one year from June/July 2012
Key Duties:
• Mentor and support District‐level Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) and surveillance officers in
completion of field projects in Bunyoro and Busoga regions
• Provide supportive supervision and on‐the‐job training of district staff as needed
• Work with regional and district Health teams within the two regions to improve EPI and IDSR performance
• Assist with training immunization Mid‐Level Manager (MLM) and routine immunization Operations Level
modules to District‐level and sub‐district level participants
• Assist with VPD outbreak investigations and response
• Work with EPI and surveillance staff to collect, interpret, and use immunization and IDSR data for improving
service delivery
• Assist EPI staff to develop effective maps and micro‐plans that include plans for outreach sessions to increase
community access to services
Required Qualifications
• Minimum requirements:
o Masters Degree in medical related field preferably MPH
o At least two years experience in routine immunization and/or disease surveillance
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders.
• Maturity and ability to work independently in unstructured settings and in sometimes challenging
physical conditions would be required.
• Ability and experience in setting priorities, developing action plans, data analysis, mentoring/training
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including proficiency at report writing and presentation
• Good computer skills required and data management experience desirable.

Job Description


IPS Uganda is the leading manufacturer of fishing nets in East Africa seeks to fill the
following positions:

Exports Manager
Role:
The incumbent will be in charge of the build-up of foreign market
sales by taking lead in export market identification, product
distribution and selling.
Scope of Services:
i. Study and monitor the regional market for the company’s
products, making quarterly reports on opportunities (untapped
potential);
ii. Determine ways of penetration and capturing these export
markets;
iii. Provide quarterly market intelligence and competitor activity
reports to management;
iv. Oversee overall export operations on a day-to-day basis;
v. Identify, communicate and coordinate with foreign market buyers
and build business relationships with them;
vi. Identify Commission Agents in regional countries and build
business relationships;
vii. Prepare bids, quotations and C&F pricings for foreign market
buyers;
viii. Take charge of export documentation and liaise with various
government departments, shipping companies, etc., to expedite
the export process;
ix. Regularly keep track of export records (export licenses, customs
declarations, routing of products, invoice, receipts, and other
related bills);
x. Ensure that shipments are in compliance with the laws and
regulations of both Uganda and the recipient country;
xi. Generate all required export documentation (airway bills, bills of
lading, invoices, packing lists and letters of credit, credit
insurance, etc.) when needed;
xii. Handle product quality and any complaints from the export market;
xiii. Ensure availability of up-to-date information on prices, credit and
other delivery tools to the export markets;
xiv. Undertake monthly reports to management;
xv. Any other activity delegated by the Operations Manager.
Key qualifications:
i. B.Com (Marketing), BBA (Marketing) or any other marketingoriented
first degree;
ii. MSc or MBA specialising in marketing preferred;
iii. Computer literacy;
iv. A good understanding of cross border trade and the laws attached
to it;

v. More than 5 years in direct product marketing;
vi. Excellent communication skills;
vii. Willingness to travel for long periods;
viii. Multi-lingual (English, Swahili and French).
