SUPERVISOR PRE-PRIMARY AND PRIMARY
SCHOOLS MANAGEMENT REF:    HRM/70/185/ 55/2012
SALARY SCALE: KCCA 6 NO. OF VACANCIES: 01
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:
•    An Honours’ degree in Education Primary or Teacher Education from a recognized institution
•    A postgraduate qualification in Education management or other related fields.
•    A formal qualification in Early childhood Education
•    A minimum of 6 years teaching experience in a recognized
Educational institution 2 of which must have been at supervisory level in the Pre-Primary/Primary Schools sector.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and supervise the implementation of education policies and programs in line with the Ministry of Education and Sports and KCCA guidelines.
Develop the performance benchmarks and monitoring tools for all Pre-Primary and Primary schools in the Authority in line with the Directorate guidelines.
Coordinate and monitor the activities of Pre-Primary and Primary schools and report to management in line with the Directorate guidelines.
Coordinate and Monitor the operations of School Management Committees, Parents Teachers Associations in line with the Ministry of Education and KCCA guidelines.
Develop a system for capturing school management information from all the Primary education sector and recommend policy changes in line with KCCA objectives.
Develop and review customized performance targets for primary schools in line with the Directorate objectives Manage the performance and development of staff in accordance with KCCA Performance Management guidelines.
Any other duties as maybe assigned by the appropriate Authority

•    An Honors Degree in Special needs Education or its equivalent from a recognized institution
•    A post graduate qualification in Special needs or any other related discipline.
•    A minimum of 4 years teaching experience in the Pre-Primary and Primary Schools sector.
•    A Certificate in Early Childhood Education will be an added advantage
DUTIES /RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Participate in the development of plans and budgets for Pre- Primary and Primary Schools inspection program in line with established policies and procedures.
•    Inspect the implementation of quality education standards, compliance to syllabuses in line with KCCA and Ministry of Education and Sports performance standards in Pre-Primary and Primary Schools.
•    Follow up the implementation of programs for improvement of the performance of Pre-Primary and Primary Schools as per the KCCA guidelines.
•    Supervise Head teachers and Teachers in Pre-Primary and Primary Schools on issues of compliance with the established education standards in the Authority.
•    Prepare and submit periodic progress and situational reports in line with set procedures.
•    Monitor the implementation of customized performance management targets in all pre – primary and primary schools in the Authority
•    Any other duties as may be assigned by the appropriate authorities.

Technical Advisor for PPDA Job Vacancy at Ministry of Finance


Job Title: TECHNICAL ADVISOR FOR THE PUBLIC PROCUREMENT AND DISPOSAL OF PUBLIC ASSETS AUTHORITY (PPDA)
Job Description

The Government of Uganda has received funding from Development Partners to support the Second Financial Management and Accountability Programme (FINMAP II) in deepening, widening and consolidating reforms in Public Financial Management, and intends to apply part of the funds to payments under the contract for the above services.
The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development through the Second Financial Management and Accountability Programme (FINMAP II) now invites applications with detailed curriculum vitae (CV), Academic Certificates and Transcripts from eligible candidates to fill the above position.
The overall objective of this position is to support PPDA by offering technical advice on the successful implementation of its policies and programmes, strengthening linkages with other oversight agencies as well as ensuring its sustainability.
