Centrifuge Operator Careers at Exalo Drilling in Uganda

Job Title: Centrifuge Operator- QSL/ OGEC/08/13-07 - 6 posts


Responsibilities:

Operating, monitoring and maintenance of solids control equipment
Assisting in the severing, trouble-shooting & installation of equipment as required.
Rigging up and down location equipment.
Working on centrifuges, shakers, dryers and augers.
Run continuous tests on the solids discharge and the effluent discharge on both units along with comparing information with the Fluid Service Technician to make sure that the centrifuges are set for optimum performance and the gravity percentage of the mud is within the bore tolerance.
Perform pre and post job equipment inspections, perform and complete preventative maintenance procedures and operate support equipment.
Assemble and prepare equipment for installation and service and perform initial set up for next job.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
Maintain records of daily operation checklists.
Responsible to maintain cleanliness of the centrifuge area: take out garbage, keep floors and ground clear of debris and wipe down oil marks.
Responsible to move fluids, gauge tanks, completing all basic operations of the centrifuge, monitor fluid levels, etc

Requirement:

Secondary school degree or High school degree or equivalent experience in a technical field in petroleum or chemical industry
Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
Certificates in first aid,
Fork lift operator certificate
Language: English
Safety Training Courses and Medical Certificate

Job Title:   Finance Officer

Key Results Area/Accountabilities:

Record, account and report on business and financial transactions;
Prepare financial reports and statutory accounts;
Maintain subsidiary, control and general ledger accounts;
Reconcile and manage outstanding items on cash books, bank accounts, accounts payables and accountabilities;
Compute salary and allowances in line with policies and regulations;
Manage payroll debtors and creditors;
Undertake custody of assets – movable and immovable;
Preparing and filing statutory returns (WHT, VAT, PAYE, NSSF);
Follow up of audit queries;
Perform any other duties, which may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

BCom/BBA/BSc (Accounting or Finance Major) or its equivalent from a recognized university;
Membership of Internationally Recognized Professional Accounting Body (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA etc.) is a requirement
A post graduate qualification in a relevant field is an added advantage

To man the UG CERT help desk and raise tickets for all confirmed probable incidents.
To conduct risk assessment and security analysis on the reported incidents.
To respond and provide support to the UG CERT constituents.
To produce periodic or ad-hoc reports of high quality for every incidents, security threats and vulnerabilities.
To develop training modules and technical documentations.
To conduct knowledge sharing sessions among other technical personnel on lessons learnt or new findings.
To be aware and comply with all UG CERT's policies, procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / ICT / Engineering - Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer / any relevant area.
Professional certification in any related field such as Security /CISA / CISM/ CISSP /GCIA / GCFA / CEH is an added advantage.

Skills/Competencies;

Possess high degree of interest in ICT security related areas.
