Job Title: Credit Officers (Microflnance, Female Only positions 60)

Job Location: Any part of Uganda (BRAC Operational Areas)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
 Survey and sensitize the communities about the microfinance packages and offers
 Organize the registered members into small groups
 Regulate the activities of the group members
 Issue out loans and ensure the pay back of loan installments
 Carry out regular field visit, conduct group meetings, and assess potential borrowers
 Prepare weekly and monthly report on the activities and submit it to the Branch Manager


Requirement:

Qualifications/Requirements:
 Diploma in Business Administration/ Accountancy/ Economics/ Statistics/ Development Studies from a recognized Institution
 Strong communication and Interpersonal skills
 Ability to coordinate work with the community
 Computer literate
 Age must be within 30 years of Age.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Registered Nurse
Reports to: Head Nurse
Main Purposes of Post
The Registered Nurse’s main duty will be to ensure the highest standards of patient care are followed, promote the standards and ethos of the clinic and aim for a flawless patient journey through the healthcare centre. They should be meticulous about record keeping and ensure infection control is a top priority. They should be a skilled professional who works within their scope of practice, in a safe and respectful manner, bringing their experience and knowledge to augment the clinics standing. They should be able to teach patients and staff in healthcare and counsel patients as necessary. They should also be able to work on their own initiative, not be afraid to perform duties, not traditionally nursing in nature, whilst maintaining patient safety. They should be the patient’s advocates and ensure patients are always treated with respect, dignity and care.
Person specification
The Registered Nurse should have, or be able to demonstrate:
o A good Nursing Education, registered with the UNMC and preferably experience of working in a private clinic.
o An understanding of models of nursing care and current nursing issues.
o A particular field of interest or expertise.
o Experience in vaccinations, managements of long term and acute conditions, phlebotomy would be favourable
o Ability to liaise with the public, other professionals, in a personable and friendly manner
o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Has a strong sense of accountability and adaptability.

Duties and Responsibilities
o Educates patients in the healthcare centre, responding to consultations made by the clinicians
o Performs patient histories, triaging and basic observations and tests and monitors treatment plans and maintains patient records, liaising with patients as necessary.
o Oversees patients appointments and procedures, attending and assisting as necessary
o Is committed to professional development and ‘lifelong learning’.
o Maintains registration and professional affiliations
o Will participate in patient, staff and student education as necessary
o Answering all incoming enquiries in a professional, caring and efficient manner

Radiographer Job Vacancy at Victoria University Kampala

Job Title: Radiographer
Reports to: Chief Medical Officer
Main Purposes of Post
The Radiographer will be responsible for producing quality diagnostic images using digital X-ray technology, influencing the direct care of patients. They will assist other clinicians to help manage patients enabling the diagnosis and treatment plans to be formulated. There will be an expectation to be involved in and learn about all imaging (including Ultrasound) within the clinic.
Person specification
The Radiographer should have, or be able to demonstrate:
o A good Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
o Independence in the assessment of referrals for examinations, taking full responsibility for the justification of examinations.
o Possession of a high level of expertise in the safe operation of X-Ray and imaging devices.
o Advice giving to clinicians on the nature of a diagnostic image
o Ability to work as part of a team and prioritise work
o Good professional standing
o The required knowledge and skills, to keeping up to date with current advances in technology and diagnostic techniques
o Ability to teach
o Understanding of Audit and Quality Assurance
o A willingness to be involved in policy development such as: Health and safety, COSHH, radiation protection, quality assurance

o Maintain a high level of expertise in the safe operation of X-Ray (and ultrasound) equipment and manage faults effectively
o Provide advice to clinicians on the nature of a diagnostic image to identify possible pathology
o Work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care
o Prioritise workload depending on the severity of a patient condition and the direct impact on their management
o Liaise with fellow healthcare workers and referring clinicians to provide a high quality imaging service to patients
o Maintain the required knowledge and skills, to keeping up to date with current advances in technology and diagnostic techniques
o Teach staff and patients as necessary
o Be actively involved in Audit and Quality Assurance to maintain effective Clinical Governance
