BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

Assigned chauffeur duties from the personnel from the Regional Affairs Office (RAO). Must be safety and security conscious at all times. SELECTION PROCESS

When equally qualified, US Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S. Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA    

1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and visa status in determining successful candidacy.

2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.

3. Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.

4.  Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their appointment.

5. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.

Requirement:
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

1.  Education required: Completion of Secondary School (both ‘O’ and ‘A’) Level is required.

2.  Work Experience required: Two years of chauffeur experience is required. One-year experience in assisting and expediting travelers through Entebbe airport is required.

3.  Language required: Level III (good working knowledge in both written and spoken) English is required.

4. Knowledge required: Must be familiar with local traffic laws and area traffic patterns is required

5. Skills and Abilities required: Must have valid local driver’s license for light vehicles; must be responsible, self-motivated and works with tittle supervision. Must be able to perform emergency road service and be able to co-ordinate for road service assistance. Occasionally have to load and unload heavy luggage and packages. Must have connections inside airport security, Civil Aviation Authority, Entebbe Ground Handling Services, and VIP section of Entebbe Airport is required.

Head of Global Markets Sales (SBG 13)

This is a managerial position reporting to the Director, Global Markets. The successful candidate will have overall management and responsibility for Global Markets Sales within Stanbic Bank Uganda’s Global Markets. This entails ensuring a strategic and coordinated sales focus on servicing the Global Markets needs of both existing and new business clients.

Key performance areas General sales

Develops and drives Stanbic Bank Uganda’s Global Markets sales strategy around growing and servicing clients while ensuring that it is in line with and supports Stanbic Bank Uganda’s broader strategy.
Retention and development of existing business
Has responsibility for the implementation of the Global Markets sales model within Stanbic Bank Uganda’s Global Markets, with the aim of providing a level of service which is of high quality, and which is consistent with the standard of service delivered by other Standard Bank Group treasuries in South Africa and globally.
New business
Participate in formulating and reviewing strategies to pursue clients who have never handled Global Markets business with Stanbic Bank.
Relationships (internal and external)

Establishes, grows and maintains a broad network of strategic stakeholders both internal and external to Stanbic Bank Uganda and the Standard Bank Group in order to ensure that the correct communication and decision-making channels are open and available.
Information and reporting

Has a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers, opportunities, challenges, needs, competition and threats inherent in the business sectors/environments within which clients operate. Has insight into local and international trends, developments and benchmarks within the financial sector, banking and specifically Global Markets products.
Requirement:
Knowledge and skills required to perform role Education

Good understanding of the Financial Institutions Act A tertiary qualification in an appropriate business-related degree or diploma
Experience

An excellent working knowledge of foreign exchange and money markets, and an intermediate understanding of other Global Markets products
A good understanding of macro economics and current economic trends
A good appreciation and knowledge of risk management, covering operational risk, market risk and credit risk
Global Markets and banking background

At least 3 years experience in marketing foreign exchange/money market products and services

This is a managerial position reporting to the Head of Global Markets Sales. The successful candidate will provide an ongoing efficient and effective service to a portfolio of corporate clients with the aim of maximising the global markets product turnover and profitability thereof.

Key performance areas

Achieve turnover and profit targets aligned to the overall treasury objective
Market knowledge (economic fundamentals): Remain up-to-date with current global developments (such as economic and political) and assemble, disseminate and distribute economic news
Client interface/sales (deal execution, relationships and client margins): Understand client exposures to treasury products, their budgets, benchmark hedging policies, regular (dividends) and irregular (capital investment) treasury flows and the clients view.
