Job Title: Senior Program Advisor Agriculture and rural development
Key Responsibilities
To manage Public Sector agriculture component of the U Growth program
To maintain an active and dynamic policy dialogue with government and other stake holders including proactive participation in the agriculture development partners group and the food security group in the area of the public
To coordinate Danida activities in order to ensure harmonization , alignment
To carry out analytical work in relation to the agricultural sectorin uganda
To manage the agricultural lively Hood programs
Qualification
A minimum of masters degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Economics or Public Administration with focus on rural development
Minimum of 10 years working experience post Graduate progreesuve work experience
Working experience in program stratergy , policy and management within Uganda agriculture sector either a large international NGO ,UN Organization or Diplomatic Representation
Knowledge and skills
Extensive knowledge of Agriculture sector Development in Uganda and the region including the associated political , economic
Good analytical skills
Strong networking skills
Well development communications
Computer skills
Behavioral competences
Ability to think at a strategic level
Able to analyze current and future needs
