EDIS SYSTEM ENGINEER
Location: Kampala.
Primary Function: Manage, create and maintain the Engineering Data Information System (EDIS) for the various Department needs.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze user requirements.
• Maintain the EDIS system through timely review in order to improve its efficiency.
• Manage the installation processes.
• Participate in standardization meetings.
• Coordinate acquisition of new hardware.
• Develop specifications, create tests and install interfaces.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Line Manager.

Requirement:
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field majoring in Computer programming and Systems management.
• At least 8 years experience working in the related field from middle to large scale organizations.
• Good knowledge in Computer programming, IT Basics and Computer Engineering.
• Excellent at system management.
• Hands-on individual with good maintenance skills in computer hardware and software.
• Understanding of E&P Operations in Uganda.

HARDWARE ENGINEER
Location: Kampala.
Primary Function: To provide expert service on the planning, installation, upgrade, repair and maintenance or operations of the infrastructure components including the server and its storage, and ensures compatibility with existing information systems

Responsibilities:
• Supervise the operation of the server and storage systems and submit system technical reports to Management.
• Evaluate, select, implement, and support the infrastructure components.
• Respond to and troubleshoot network and system alarms
• Develop training programs to ensure continued progress in the maintenance of technical system proficiency and interface with the server and storage users.
• Participate in IT system construction projects and provide corresponding hardware solutions to fulfill user needs.
• Participate in the research and improvement of device physical and OS security technology and provide solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of technical support.
• Authorize documents on common issues and solutions in order to build the knowledge base.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Line Manager.

• Bachelors Degree in Informatics, Computer Science or equivalent.
At least 4 years experience performing hardware engineering tasks on projects of similar scope and complexity.
• Extensive knowledge in IT infrastructure hardware and peripherals.
• Experience with site installation planning, preparation, checkout, and deploying systems to the field.
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure operation, maintenance and backup.
• Good understanding of servers, virtualization and storage technologies.
• Extensive knowledge of platforms such as Windows, Linux and Unix.
• Good knowledge of major device manufactory and products.
• Good knowledge of the network and related protocol.
• Broad technical knowledge of IT infrastructure.
• Understanding of E&P Operations in Uganda.

Location: Kampala.
Primary Function: To ensure punctual coordination and safe transportation Company staff and property at all times.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure a punctual and well planned time table for the drivers and cars available on a daily, weekly, monthly basis; or as required.
• Ensure vehicles are in good mechanical condition and a fueled in time.
• Plan, direct and coordinate transit systems.
• Prepare cost analysis, periodic management and operational reports.
• Timely coordination of all the travel schedules in the various Departments.

• Excellent written and spoken English.
