Job Title: Manager, Production: SBG13 (1) Position

This position reports to the Head of Operations and its main purpose is to lead the production area in ensuring customer focused, high quality fulfilment of operational services to all stakeholders (business partners and customers across all products and delivery channels).

Key responsibilities:
Drives strategic deliverables across CIB & PBB production
Aligns the Production area to Group operations and business strategies within country Partners with the Service Manager to identify customer service expectations, agree SLAs and align to the customer value proposition
Develops and implements tactical initiatives to reduce cost and ensures that budgets for the Production area are met
Ensures that throughput is maximised throughout the Production area by implementing principles of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma
Ensures effective, efficient and optimal utilisation of all resources (human and capital)
Identifies and defines tactical operational performance metrics geared towards meeting payments objectives Collaborates with other areas through continuous interactions to ensure that best practices are implemented and a standard approach is followed.
Provides accurate and MIS as per the matrix Identifies, assesses and mitigates the risks facing both systems and business processes in production
Liaises with business stakeholders to ensure regulatory, group policy standards and minimum operating procedures are observed to minimise the Bank’s exposure to risk.
Drives a strong culture of performance management and career development.

Requirement:
Qualification in Business Management, Commercial or Engineering degree
Certification in Six Sigma or lean manufacturing would be an added advantage
At least 5 years’ experience in a related role at managerial level
Understands corporate and retail banking client needs, distribution channels and interface between frontline service, responsive sales and support functions
Comprehensive understanding of banking transaction processes relevant to products and services offered to customers
Knowledge of cost management principles and practices
Knowledge of security management principles and practices.
Extensive experience in management of complex operations, ideally within the financial service sector. Practical process / project management experience Well developed people management.

Strong customer focus and service orientation Creative, analytical with good problem solving skills Conflict management skills and ability to manage ambiguity
Self driven, values based, innovative, independent adaptive and results orientated person.

Job Title: Manager, Operations Service Management: SBG12 (1) Position

This position reports to the Head of Operations. The incumbent acts as an interface for stakeholders into Operations. The Manager defines analyses and communicates all business requirements, contributes to SLAs negotiations and daily management of all agreed SLAs.

Key responsibilities:
Identifies, collates and analyses data pertaining to metric supporting SLA’s and service agreements
Reports and manages daily service levels Investigates any service level deviations by applying root cause analysis, develops and implements plans to manage devotions Initiates service improvement initiatives across operations with relevant operations and business stakeholders Acts as liaison (communication and escalation) between branches, support units and IPC SA
Owns and manages all service related incidents till final resolutions
Ensures that all new products are fully supported by the operation teams and are incorporated into service agreements
Liaises with business stakeholders in ensuring that regulatory, group policy standards and minimum operating procedures are observed to minimise the Bank’s exposure to risk.
Requirement:
Advance qualification in Business Management, Commercial degree or relevant operational experience.
At least 3 years experience in a service role at top management level.
Understanding of corporate banking and retail bank network and interface between frontline service, responsive sales and support functions
Extensive understanding of banking transaction processes relevant to products and services offered to stakeholders.
Practical knowledge of how to in-put, access and utilise information to analyse forecast trends.
Practical process / project management experience.
Well developed people management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (across the business)
Well developed negotiating skills Creative, analytical with good problem solving skills.
Self driven, values based, innovative, independent adaptive and results orientated person.

Avocats Sans Frontieres (ASF – Lawyers without Borders) is an international non-governmental organization working towards the establishment of a just, equitable and united society, in which both the law and justice serve the most vulnerable. The primary goal of ASF is to contribute to the establishment of institutions and mechanisms that allow for access to independent and impartial justice, and which are capable of guaranteeing the protection of fundamental rights (civil and political, economic and social), including the right to a fair trial. To support its ongoing work in Uganda, ASF is presently recruiting for the following position:

Title: Legal Aid Program Coordinator

Location: Kampala, Uganda with travel as required Reports to: Head to Mission


SCOPE OF WORK:
The Program Coordinator has primary responsibility for the management and the implementation of the programs for the overall country, including but not limited to the project on Mobilizing Lawyers for the rights of the Ugandans and the Unlawful Pretrial
Detention project.
Under the supervision of the head of Mission, the Program Coordinator will work to develop strong external relationships with stakeholders including local and district level authorities, institutions and other civil society organizations. The Program Coordinator will have responsibility for the development of the program within the country. This responsibility includes taking a lead role in identifying and developing new partnerships and collaborations, identifying funding opportunities and developing new project proposals that complement ASF’s national strategy. This will be done under the guidance and supervision of the Head of Mission.

The position includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Project management
Financial management of the projects
Monitoring, evaluation and reporting on the projects
Human resource management of the Legal Aid team
External relations and fundraising
Requirement:
Holder of a LLB
At least 5 years’ experience, from which at least 3 years’ experience in project management and 2 years’ experience in the justice sector
Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal relations, oral and written communications, networking, reporting, and time management
Good analytical skills Preferred:
Completion of LDC and Practicing Certificate and at least two years of practicing law.
