Job Title: Library Security Assistant (4 posts)
Responsible to : The University Librarian
Salary Scale : IUA8 a 2 years contract Renewable upon satisfactory performance
Key functions
- Thorough checking of all the library clients before they enter and leave the library premises
- Ensuring that all un acceptable items ,gargets that are prohibited in the library entrance on the shelves specified
- Ensuring that there is maximum order in the library i.e clients observe silence, sitting, arrangements , respect for one another among others
- To safeguard all library property and ensure that non is taken out premises without permission from the university librarian
Minimum requirements
Applicant must possess a certificate in Library Science with at least 2 years working experience
