Support – IT Human Resources Manager

The position reports to the Chief Information Officer – Hub SEA Region.
The main purpose of the job is:

To ensure the implementation of HR operational strategy in a functional unit such that the HR priorities support the Hub operations; resulting in business effectiveness, thereby maximising the potential of each Hub employee, aligning team and individual development to the needs of the organisation.
To liaise with HR heads in the relevant SEA OPs within the region regarding HR issues for Hub employees.
To ensure high performance by staff is recognised and rewarded and non/poor performance is identified and managed.
Prime responsibilities of the position:
Implement human resource business plans; ensuring the effective alignment to the operational business plans to ensure collaboration is achieved between human resources; management and the employees.
Manage and oversee workforce planning for the resource capabilities.
Ensure the process of employee termination is effective and managed well.
Provide relevant feedback to appropriate stakeholders where necessary.
Implement the human resource business plans in a controlled and structured manner in order to guarantee the effective implementation thereof.
Support the assigned management team in terms of achieving operational effectiveness through the acquisition and deployment of top talent.
Partner with management to create a learning organisation in line with the Group strategy.
Develop and implement succession plans and report progress therof.
Ensure that all the human resource policies and procedures are in alignment with the MTN Group human resource team to guarantee compliance.
Ensure all policies and systems fall within the legal and regulatory framework to guarantee compliance.
Ensure appropriate reward and recognition is provided within the guidelines and parameters required.
Maintain a motivated and correctly skilled workforce to meet the projected changing needs of the business.
Foster an environment of continued development through coaching and performance management.
Create and maintain employee training plans and career development plans for all resources.
Assist the resource manager in tracking the skills and competencies of employees in order to promote appropriate assignment of employees to roles.
Create personal development plans for staff training and development.
Manage the performance appraisal and HR processes by defining, owning and driving the regular performance appraisal process.
Manage and control the coordination of organisation-wide HR approaches, policies and procedures to maximise resource performance and morale.
Participate in the design of change management and ensure the overall effective implementation thereof in order to embed change within the organisation.
Ensure costs are minimised in line with the Least Cost Operator strategy.
Ensure regular meetings and interaction with allocated management in order to highlight and address staffing related risks as well as manage expectations.
Ensure all line managers are appropriately informed around employee relation issues and their role as management in order to guarantee a common understanding and approach.
Ensure all reports are produced and submitted within the allocated deadlines in order to provide the relevant feedback to management.
The applicant must possess the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management.
PGD in Human Resource Management.
3 Years general experience in human resources in a multinational business environment/telecommunications industry.
Excellent understanding of the whole human resource function.
Other relevant training required:
Budget design and management.
Change management.
Coaching and mentoring at management level.
Job profiling and workforce architecture.
Knowledge, skills and competencies:
