Job Title: ASSISTANT TRANSPORT MANAGER
Due to business expansion DHL SUPPLY CHAIN UGANDA is seeking suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:
ASSISTANT TRANSPORT MANAGER
Responsible for organizing and controlling transport resources to ensure delivery of cost efficient service. Will work closely with all team members to manage transport schedules, plan vehicle utilization, meet service levels and manage fleet processes. Candidate will have the ability to ensure statutory obligations are met and HSE requirements are adhered to. Will be responsible for the recruitment and management of the Driver team under leadership of the Transport Manager.
Requirement:
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors Degree/Diploma in a business related field
Proven experience in transport planning and forecasting
Experience in the management of budgets and implementation of appropriate cost controls
2-3 years experience in Transport Management 1
Computer literacy in all relevant Microsoft Packages.
Strong customer and team orientation
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, influence results and balance conflicting priorities.
Excellent negotiation skills
