Job Title: COMPLIANCE MANAGER
About this Job:
Key responsibilities
• Assess and monitor compliance with Employer’s Policies
• Assess and ensure compliance according to the Employer’s Compliance Policy
• Certify compliance of all statutory, legal and internal policies
• Ensure and monitor compliance of Employer’s operations with statutory and legal requirements like FIA etc; •
• Liaise with Risk Management and Audit to ensure that the shortcomings are worked on and rectified.
• Prepare management reports on status of compliance on a monthly basis.
• Monitor and prepare reports on Excesses, arrears and suspicious transactions
• Plan the deliver/ of audit checks for ICT
compliance purposes, reviewing conclusions and report recommendations for improvement.
• Vet all new projects to ensure Compliance in all aspects, (products / branches etc)
• Conduct or deliver Compliance training for staff
• Snap check account opening documents to ensure complete documentation and compliance with KYC
Requirement:
Qualifications and skills required
• Bachelor of Law (LIB),
• Diploma in Law from the Law Development Central.
• A Masters degree will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products
