 Project Coordinator Saving Newborn Lives (1 position – re-advertised)

Duty Station ; Kampala

The Project Coordinator will work under the direct control and supervision of the Programme Manager, Saving Newborn Lives (SNL). The Job holder will take responsibility for the coordination of SNL activities. The job holder will also take lead in coordination with partners in planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities as well as compilation of the project reports while maintaining close consultations with the Programme Manager, SNL.

Desired Academic back ground, Experience & person specifications;

• Bachelors Degree in humanities or the equivalent accrued working experience in a related position in MNCH programmes.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Health system and decentralized approach in Uganda.
• Public Health training and/or experience and demonstrated skills in catalyzing change.
• Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform;
• Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic reports that document direction or results;
• Ability to interact skilfully and diplomatically with numerous counterparts, both domestically and internationally;
• Planning, organizing, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills – oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy skills – MS Office applications, word, excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheets.
