MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Degree in Procurement & Supplies Chain Management,
or Business Administration (Logistics and supply chain Management) or any other related courses from a
recognized University. Plus a minimum of a Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement & Supplies Chain
Management, or Business Administration (logistics and supply Management) or full professional course
such as CIPS from a recognized a recognized university/awarding Institution.
Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years experience in procurement/supplies chain management in a
reputable organization.
He/she should have the following Key competences: Knowledge and application of PPDA guidelines;
knowledge in bid and contract management; excellent financial and accounting skills; oral and written
communication competences; management and supervision competences; analytical and problem
solving competences; competences in setting up a high performing team and developing subordinates;
excellent interpersonal, particularly staff/management relations; proven integrity and confidentiality; and
proven ability to meet timelines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Procurement Supervisor for performing the following duties:-
? Identifying and evaluating potential supply sources in accordance with approved procurement
guidelines.
? Monitoring running contracts and submit timely reports to as per reporting guidelines.
? Maintaining the procurement records as per the records management procedures.
? Assisting in the designing of call for bids in line with needs and procedures.
? Receiving and compiling bids in line with procurement procedures.
? Implementing guidelines and frameworks for bid evaluation and selection process in line with the
technical evaluation and Contracts Committee recommendations.
? Ensuring that items and services procured are delivered on time in line with the signed documents.
? Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
