Job Title: UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN
About this Job:
REPORTS TO: DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR
Key responsibilities:
1. Development, control, management and coordination of all library and information services for the university.
with local, regional and international
3. To enhance access to library and
international standards.
4. Assist the Univetsity in fundraising to support capacity building activities for library staff.
5. Conduct periodic library end-user
6. Secretary to the Library Committee
Requirement:
Requirements (Minimum):
1. Masters’ degree in Library and
Information Science from a recognized University.
2. Knowledge of modern library
conferences and/or workshops.
3. At least five (5) years post-qualification experience at managerial level in a reputable institution library.
4. Practical computer skills with prior use of library software packages.
5. Publications in reputable journals/books.
6. Good communication skills
