Job Title: Motorman- QSL/OGEC/08/13-10 - 6 posts
Duties:
• Connect sections of drill pipe, using hand tools and powered wrenches and tongs.
• Repair or replace defective parts of machinery, such as rotary drill rigs, water trucks, air compressors, and pumps, using hand tools.
• Maintain and adjust machinery in order to ensure proper performance.
• Clean and oil pulleys, blocks, and cables.
• Push levers and brake pedals in order to control gasoline, diesel, electric, or steam draw works that lower and raise
• Drill pipes and casings in and out of wells.
• Bolt together pump and engine parts, and connect tanks and flow lines.
• Start and examine operation of slush pumps in order to ensure circulation and consistency of drilling fluid or mud in well.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
• Technical school degree in mechanic or relevant experience as an mechanic
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Working experience on diesel engines; working knowledge of welding, crane operation, pipe fitting, and plumbing; familiar with oilfield terminology
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow repair manuals
• General knowledge of equipment diagnosis and repair
• Have the ability to climb and perform maintenance and repairs to heights up to 85-105m
• Mathematical skills sufficient to perform calculations for equipment hours, usage of liquids and inventory of spares
• Computer skills to enter data in Company maintenance database as required
• Forklift certification
• Certificates in first aid,
• Language: English or Polish
• Safety Training Courses and Medical Certificate
