Duration of Agreement: Six months (with possibility of Extension)

A. Functions and respobilities

1. Drives WHO staff to various official functions as asigned by the supervisor
2. maintains the vehicle assinged to him.her in tidy and good mechanical condition.
3. Maintains a monthly record of maintence and running cost of the vehicle assigned to him.her.
4. Performs messagerial duties (e.g delivery of mail) and other errands assigned to him.her.
5. Drives WHO consultants and visitors as assinged
6. Maintains a log book of the vehicle assigned to him/her
7. Ensures maximum security of staff and vehicle while in feild
8. performs any other duties assigned by the supervisor

B. Knoweldge /Qualifictains
a) Knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations of the country and skills in minor vehicle repair.
• Ability to read write and understand instructions in the working language.
• Ability of writing a concise and faithful report of the accident

b) Education and special Training
Primary Education and Valid driver's licence Classes A,C, E and F of the country. Training in Motor Mechanics would be an added advantage.

c) Experience
At least 5 years driving experience as driver. Safe driving record. Experience in International Organizations or Diplomatic Missions and a considerable driving experience in the civil service would be an added advantage.

d) Languages
Excellent knowledge of English an Swahili and local languages wouls be added advantage
