Key Tasks:

1.    Heading the Public Relations section.

2.    Responsible for the entire range of media relations.

3.    Providing publicity support for all Commission programs and activities.

4.    Advising the Commission and Management on a regular basis on how to enhance the image of the Commission.

5.    Preparation of promotional materials.

6.    Fostering community relations through appropriate events.

7.    Act as Commission spokesperson.

8.    Responsible for protocol in the Commission.

9.    Any other duties as officially assigned.

Requirement:
Minimum qualifications:

Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication, Social Sciences or a related field from a recognized University and a Post Graduate Diploma in a Management related field
Computer knowledge (MS Office) is a must.
Minimum Experience:

Applicants should have at least 6 years relevant experience in the field of Public Relations / Journalism, 3 of which should have been gained at a senior level in Government or a large and reputable organization.
Special personal characteristics/attributes:

1.    Knowledge of Government Policies and Administrative Procedures.

2.    Well developed interpersonal and communication skills and capable of working as a member of the organization’s senior management team.

3.    Ability to lead, cultivate team spirit and motivate qualified and specialized staff.

4.    Well developed analytical and report writing skills.

5.    High integrity.

6.    Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.

7.    Excellent written and spoken English with strong report writing and presentation skills.

8.    Age limit: 28 – 56 years.

How to apply:
Applicants should have at least five (5) years of direct professional experience in GIS techniques and methodologies, or working experience with cartography and earth science, spatial data types, geographic spatial reference systems and metadata. Age: 25-50 years
