Main Duties
Undertaking Administrative issues to facilitate the effective operation of the district Services
Recording minutes of the district services commission meetings and preparing related reports
Keeping safe custody of the records of the district service commission , advertising vacancies in local government for recruitments
Providing technical advise to the commission meetings invitation to members under the directions of the chair man
Noting and communicating decisions of the district service commission and submitting them to the relevant authorities
Person’s specifications
An Honors Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management Science or social work and social Administration ,arts with Human Resources Management Science
A post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
Possession of a masters Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration and management shall be an added advantage
Experience six years professional working experience 3 of which should have been at a senior Human Resources Management level in a public or reputable organizations

Our Client Wispro (U) Ltd is one of the leading Skin Care and Cosmetics Manufacturers in Uganda. They require a Production Supervisor to manage their fast paced manufacturing environment.
The position requires an individual that has strong interpersonal skills and experience working inter-departmentally. The successful candidate will supervise the production process and employees to ensure that all production operations are completed accurately, timely and efficiently.
This is a key role reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
 Provide direction and instructions to production employees.
 Train new production employees in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
 Ensure production is running according to schedule.
 Verify all packaging is correct by inspecting the products.
 Ensure that all safety policies are being followed.
 Communicate production personnel issues with Managing Director.
 Verify finished goods are up to standard.
 Notify Managing Director if any out of specification products are found and complete a non-conforming form.
 Work in a safe manner at all times, complying with safety, health, environmental, and company policies.
 Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring that production floor and equipment are cleaned and repaired.
 Inspect for safety hazards and needed repairs and report to Management.
 Comply with and enforce all company policies.
 Use company approved personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for various tasks.
 Ensure that all production employees use company approved PPE as required for various tasks.
 Work cooperatively with co-workers, quality control employees and manager.
 Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work.

Social Development Adviser Position

The Social Development Adviser  will be part of the  programme  team supporting the  delivery of DFID Uganda’s results pertaining to poverty, vulnerability and exclusion.  She/he will lead DFID Uganda’s work on gender equality and women’s empowerment and will play a lead role in ensuring a social development perspective to DFIDU’s work on accountable governance, citizenship, justice and human rights. They will also support the current Social Development Adviser in providing a technical lead on social protection, HIV prevention and diversity.

Main tasks

•    Provide general social development advice across current and emerging DFIDU programmes and priorities as required
 •    Leading and managing DFID Uganda’s support to a joint UN programme on gender equality
 •    Supporting delivery of civil society work on gender based violence
 •    Supporting the Gender Champions team across the DFIDU office
 •    Actively contribute to the Gender Development Partners Group
 •    Provide advisory support on strengthening social accountability
 •    Provide social development advice to the Northern Uganda and diversity task teams
 •    Support the A2 Social Development Adviser’s lead on Social Protection, HIV Prevention and Diversity
 •    Ensure Communications and Corporate compliance
 •    Supporting project officers under the Gender Equality task team to ensure Financial Compliance and value for money

The ideal candidate must posses the primary technical competencies including; social and political analysis; poverty and vulnerability analysis, understanding of, and ability to influence and work with the structures, policies and processes important to support social change and to tackle poverty, vulnerability and exclusion

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

•    A higher  degree in any of the following disciplines; social anthropology, sociology, political science, human geography, social policy/planning
 •    Experience in development work including ability to work with and influence primary stake-holders
 •    Expertise in social research
 •    Experience in applying social and political analysis to policy and programmes
 •    Excellent organisation and time management skills, communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
