Inline with its vision, Children’s AIDS Fund Uganda in collaboration with affiliated care and treatment facilities presently; provides care, treatment and prevention services to over 12,000 clients and positioning to scale up access to comprehensive and integrated healthcare delivery at the following sites: Family Hope Centre Kampala (FHCK) and Family Hope Centre Jinja (FHCJ),
Kabwohe Clinical Research Centre (KCRC) and Bushenyi Medical Centre (BMC). CAF Uganda is currently looking for suitable qualified Ugandans to fill the following positions available at the CAF Uganda Head Office and treatment sites:
 M & E Specialist
Reporting to the Director Strategic Development and M&E will provide leadership in the management and coordination of technical expertise for the implementation of high quality monitoring and evaluation development and contribute to continuous quality improvement of integrated care, treatment and prevention program implemented by Children’s AIDS Fund Uganda and its partners.
Job Requirements: Master degree in statistics, demography, economics, and development studies with proven experience of 5years in use of data and databases program monitoring and
evaluation HIV and/or public health program management statistics communications and/or other related area with an international or local NGO. Extensive knowledge of program activities for children living with HIV and including HIV service delivery; Extensive knowledge of program activities including HIV service delivery MCH, PMTCT, SMC, OVC public health internal and external communications strategies is a plus.
 IT Technical Officer
Reporting to the Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist will monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of the organization as well as install and configure computer systems, diagnose and solve hardware software and technical and application faults.
Job requirements: A degree in computer science and/or technology or related field certifications from a recognized institution with a 3 years’ experience working in a rapidly changing environment of an NGO; Proficiency with in-depth knowledge and technical support
experience in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, anti-virus technologies, Computer Hardware related issues Knowledge of basic network administration, and experience supporting field operations and the ability to travel occasionally;
 Communications and outreach officer
Reporting to the Executive Director will develop and implement a communication strategy that promotes information sharing and learning between CAF-Uganda and other local and international agencies and organizations, as well as the general public. The incumbent will be the official spokesperson and Public Relations representative for CAF-Uganda.
 Job requirements: Honors degree in Mass Communication and or Journalism, Honors in Social Sciences B.A (SS) with 5 years of progressive experience in communications- including but not limited to electronic design and editing skills for presentations, databases and web pages. Keen knowledge of HIV-related issues and understanding of Uganda’s political, media, economic, social and educational structure, institutions, and key figures in influential institutions will be an added advantage.
 Compliance officer
Reporting to the Finance Director will support CAF Uganda country programs’ in compliance and risk management functions; ensure compliance with CAF U policies and procedures, terms and conditions of awards, audit, cost and administrative principles and government of Uganda regulations.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, plus membership of professional Accounting/ Audit bodies such as CPA, ACCA, etc will be an added advantage with a minimum of 3 years experience in US Federal funded grants/contracts administration and management, development or implementation of contracts/ grants and compliance training preferably with a non-profit organization and willingness to travel up to 60% of time.
 Finance Assistant
Reporting to the Finance Officer will provide assistance to Finance Officer and CAF Uganda program to ensure accurate and up-to-date data entry: To perform a variety of accounting activities related to payment and receipt of money; compute, classifies and record transactions into the automated accounting system (Quick Books) and checks transactions from health facilities to locate and resolve discrepancies.
Job requirements: University degree in business Administration and Accounting or other equivalent from a recognized university or institute with a minimum experience of 2 years with an NGO in a similar position. Part qualification with a Professional Accounting/Audit e.g. CPA &ACCA and knowledge of quick Books will be an added advantage.
Drivers (2 – Kampala & Jinja)
Reporting to the Office Administrator will provide safe transport and vehicle management to project staff with strict adherence to local traffic laws and in accordance to project rules and regulations pertaining to vehicles.
Job requirements: Must possess 3 years of driving experience with an NGO or have graduated from an accredited driving school at least 3 classes DL, CM and B for the driving permit and must have training in defensive driving and basic knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics is desirable. A certificate in motor vehicle maintenance will be an added advantage.

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is an international non-profit, public health organisation with headquarters in USA, whose purpose is to strengthen health programs worldwide. SURE (Securing Ugandans’ Right to Essential Medicines) will ensure that the population of Uganda has access to adequate quantities of good quality essential medicines and health supplies (EMHS) by strengthening the national essential medicines and health commodities supply system.

Reports to: Logistics Coordinator

Overall Responsibility:

The Logistics Officer will provide technical assistance in collaboration with the Pharmacy Division to the ministry of health’s National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) to strengthen the pharmaceutical management of malaria commodities for both public and private not for profit (PNFP) sectors. This technical assistance is also aimed at improving the capacity of the NMCP in performance monitoring of the malaria commodities supply chain. In addition the Logistics Officer will:
• Support the strengthening of the malaria commodities supply system for both public and PNFP sector.
• Assist NMCP to monitor and analyse malaria commodities pipeline at all levels of the supply system.
• Support the NMCP and quantification and procurement planning unit (QPPU) in conducting annual quantifications and procurement plans for malaria commodities.
• Support PMI in coordinating pre storage in-country logistics for PMI supported malaria commodities.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of the Global Fund for AIDS Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSM) plans for malaria commodities.
• Support the collection and analysis of supply chain management data on indicators for malaria commodities and prepare periodical performance reports.

Qualifications:

1)A degree in pharmacy, training in pharmaceutical supply chain management will be an added advantage 2) Work experience in providing supply chain management technical assistance is preferred 3) Experience with medicines supply chain management information systems is an advantage 4) Experience in Uganda with knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the Uganda public health system and prior experience with USAID supported programs is an added advantage 5) Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other stakeholders in developing creative and strategic solutions to achieve common goals 6) Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and shifting deadlines 7) Strong organizational, administrative, communication and reporting skills 8) Strong teamwork and team-building skills 9) Fluent in English language including ability to write lucid technical reports 10) Computer skills in Microsoft office.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
