Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assess the products being reviewed against Financial Partners willingness to develop on their internal systems and what the internal rules are on data sharing with external parties

* Collaborate with other program or project managers to ensure that the development plans fit into the overall project plan.
* Oversee product definition and development of product requirements with regards to the middleware platform and services delivered over that platform working with a software architect.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* 5 years experience working with product development on CORE Banking Systems

Main Purpose of the Job
To ensure that all financial records within the given areas of
responsibility are accurately written, properly maintained and
regular/periodic returns properly compiled and submitted to the
Chief Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
tasks;
Reconciling funds disbursed with actual receipts at the Centre
Ensure that Centre payrolls are properly prepared, statutory deductions made and remitted to the relevant authorities.
Provide technical support to Regional Offices and Centre Accountants.
Assist the chief Accountant in process of the consolidation of financial statements
Ensure proper utilization and accountability of funds by all Centres.
Ensure that the Centre manual records are up to date and reconciled with the computerised information.
Monitor Centre expenditure against budgets to ensure adherence to set financial policies.
Prepare and submit reports as required.
Ensure that established internal controls are implemented.
Ensure that monthly, quarterly, annual and other necessary financial reports are prepared and submitted to Headquarters in time.
Review all the monthly, quarterly, annual and other necessary financial reports before being submitted to the Chief Accountant

Requirement:
Academic Qualifications: 1st degree preferably in B.Com (Accounting) or BBA, and 2nd Part of professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA or ACA
Minimum Experience and Exposure: 4 years in a position with heavy accounting responsibilities in a reputable organisation preferably an NGO
Special Knowledge: Knowledge of financial accounting procedures, Knowledge of planning, budgeting, reporting and auditing, Supervisory skills, Hands-on-computer skills in MS Word, Excel and relevant accounting packages (including NAVISION)

1. Initiate, formulate and manage human resource management and development policies and Strategies for the authority.
2. Develop and implement performance management system for the authority and coordinate staff appraisals.

Objectives of the Job

1. Establish and maintain an effective and efficient system for ensuring compliance to regulations.
2. Conduct regular inspections of milk handling premises aimed at; disseminating guidelines for food safety, hygiene practices in milk handling, dairy processing facilities and premises to ensure compliance with both quality and safety standards and dairy regulations.
3. Enforce dairy regulations to safe guard public health and well being of milk consumers.
4. Establish and maintain systems to address consumers/farmers complaints and concerns regarding adherence to dairy standards ; and regulations.
5. Implement consumer awareness campaign and sensitization programmes focusing on dairy standards and regulatory aspects.

compliance with dairy standards and regulations to facilitate the •

Requirement:
Qualifications and Experience

3. At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
4. Should have good knowledge and skills in milk processing best practices, Quality systems and application of dairy standards, laws and regulations relevant to the dairy industry in particular “the Dairy Industry Act, Public Health Act” etc.
5. Should have good interpersonal and communication skills and capable of working as a team leader

To conduct socio-economic research and surveys within the dairy industry with a view to establishing trends in milk production, transportation, processing and consumption; and to implement research findings for enhancing/ increasing milk production. Furthermore, to develop, maintain and regularly update DDA’s management information system. Key Functions
1. Conduct surveys and studies to assess and establish technological options in the milk value chain and recommend appropriate interventions.
2. Mobilize dairy stakeholders for identification of needs, formulation of specific goals and alternative intervention strategies for the development of the Dairy industry.
3. Initiate, develop and design appropriate programmes aimed I at improving animal husbandry practices and farm business development.
4. Develop and implement strategies and programmes for increasing the consumption of milk and dairy products.
5. Carry out Socio-economic research and surveys relating to marketing and consumption of milk and dairy products.
6. Manage the dissemination of information regarding the performance of the dairy sector with regard to production, processing, marketing and consumption. ;
7. Develop strategies for transforming informal marketing of milk i and milk products.
8. Develop consumer education and sensitization programmes on; nutritional benefits of consumption of milk and milk products.
9. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of promotion and information dissemination strategies and programmes.
10. Create, manage and maintain the organization’s information database.

Requirement:
Qualification and Experience
1. Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Dairy Sciences/ Veterinary Medicine/ Animal Production or related field from a recognized institution of higher learning.
2. Post graduate qualification in relevant field.
3. At least 3 years of relevant experience.
4. Should have thorough knowledge and skills in project and programme implementation gained from training or practical experience.
5. Should have good networking, mobilization, presentation and communication skills, capable of working with communities at the grass root level and other stakeholders in the industry.

1. To carry out tests on raw and processed milk and milk products in the field and whenever need arises.
2. Keep clear records of all laboratory results.
3. Maintain the laboratory equipment and furniture in a clean and orderly manner. ^
4. Advise the Senior Laboratory Technician on the re-ordef-levels of all laboratory chemicals.
5. Assist the Senior Laboratory Technician make monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Regulatory Services Manager.
