Job Title:  National  Program  Manager

The   NPM  will be in the overall  charge of managing the programs  department  of  Justice Centers Uganda. Direct supervisor; National Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop  program work plans
Develop  formats for reporting
Compile  monthly program  reports
Write weekly , monthly ,quarterly , periodic and annual reports
Ensure program /project reporting  requirements are fulfilled  in accordance  with the different requirements .


Competencies

Knowledge of legal frameworks, human rights frameworks,  principles and standards  and  issues affecting  poor and vulnerable  communities /populations.
An open and result oriented approach to work .
Strong strategic  thought and  process facilitation  skills
Strong advocacy  skills .


Qualifications

Education ;  Masters  Degree  in Law, Management , Human Rights and  Development Studies  or related field . First degree in Law , Diploma in Legal Practice  and an  enrolled advocate



Work experience ; 3-5 in a related  experience with at least  two years in managerial  position

Other skills ; management skills , basic financial skills

Excellent interpersonal  and communication skills
Good analytical  and reporting skills
Strong ability to  be able to manage  and prioritize  multiple tasks
Age   35 -45 years

Organizational Setting and Reporting

This post is located in the Internal Audit Division (IAD) of the Office of Internal Oversight Services in Entebbe. The incumbent reports to an Auditor or Section Chief.

Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, the Audit Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

Collects relevant information and documentation related to specific audit assignments; calculates, computes and verifies data.

Prepares spreadsheet, verifies footings, extensions and postings and traces original evidence into the records, e.g., personnel documents, budget, accounting vouchers, purchase orders, contracts, requisitions, receiving and inspection reports and invoices.

Assists in observing random physical inventory of property in various departments throughout the Organisation.

Performs other duties as may be required such as administrative-related tasks: assisting in coding and monitoring recommendations, recording of time and attendance, assisting in travel arrangements, tracking status of audit assignments, documenting minutes of section meetings.

Assists in organizing and maintaining the audit working papers

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of French or another UN official language is an advantage.

Assessment Method

Competency based interviews and other assessment methods as required.

The SESEMAT Programme under the Ministry of Education and Sports is seeking for applications to fill the full-time post of Technical Supervisor.
The roles and responsibilities of the Technical Supervisor shall be:
Efficient and effective implementation of SESEMAT Programme activities such as the National and Regional In-service Training, Monitoring and Evaluation,
Supervise and coordinate the organization of all SESEMAT Programme training sessions and ensure that the National Trainers conduct the sessions to the required standards,
Timely and high quality reporting by collating required information and inputs,
Development of a proper archiving system for the project-related reporting and correspondence,
Development and execution of an operational support structure, through which the National Trainers are provided with the opportunity to concentrate on the substance of implementation.
Requirement:
Demonstrate integrity by modeling the Ministry of Education and Sports' values and ethical standards,
Promotes the vision, mission, and strategic goals of SESEMAT Programme and partner organization
Excellent knowledge of project management,

Qualifications
Holder of Post-Graduate Qualification preferably PhD
A bias in Science Education is an added advantage
Minimum of 15 years working experience
Teaching experience in Science Education is most preferred
The incumbent will report to the National Coordinator of SESEMAT Programme and will fulfil additional tasks as required by the National Coordinator.
Status: Contract-based employment. Term of Contract: Three (3) years renewable on commendable performance.

The SESEMAT Programme under the Ministry of Education and Sports is seeking for applications to fill two (2) full-time posts of National Trainers (one from NTC and one from PTC).
Roles and Responsibilities:
To organize and conduct the training sessions for NTC lecturers and PTC tutors respectively;
To develop training curriculum, manuals and any related instruction materials;
To collaboratively develop the Annual and Quarterly work plans;
To collaboratively monitor and evaluate the project performance at NTCs and PTCs;
To carry out Needs Assessments and any other relevant research;
Requirement:
B.Sc., B.A/Ed., or B.Sc. and B.A with a Diploma in education.
Post-graduate degree is an added advantage
At least Eight (8) continuous years of practical lecturing at NTCs and PTCs respectively.
Sound practical knowledge in any two of the following subjects; Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Must be computer literate.
Serving NTC lecturers and PTC tutors are encouraged to apply as they will be assisted to secure Leave of Absence from their current institution.

Roles and Responsibilities
Administrator shall be:
Development of ICT manuals/modules.
Recommend all procurement needs.
Maintain all the software and hardware.
Prepare and present ICT plan and budget.
Work in collaboration with National Trainers to design INSET training content.
Carry out other ICT tasks as required by the SESEMAT Programme.
Management of the ICT lab
Requirement:
A degree in computer science.
Hardware and software maintenance skills.
Basic programming skills.
Post-graduate degree is an added advantage.
Leadership and communication skills.
At least three (3) years experience in the field of ICT.
Background of any three of the science subjects (Physics, Biology, Chemistry and mathematics) at A-level or a higher level is an added advantage.
