Job Title: Program Officer for Documentation

Reports To: Program Officer 11

Location: Kampala, Uganda


Duties and responsibilities

The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of public health, center for communication programs (CCP) manages strategic health communication projects in Uganda, in close collaboration with the Government of Uganda and civil society organizations. CCP is looking to hire a program officer that will be responsible for documenting the accomplishments, processes, and learning from the health communication partnership, a USAID-funded health communication project. Then he /she will;

•    Provide technical support to all the program officers to organize materials.
•    Provide specific written content (such as program briefs successes stories, promising practices, lessons learnt) gather available photographs and video.
•    Gather program information and condense into well written web content.
•    Identify gaps in the documentation of HCP, gather information about specific HCP processes and document them.
•    Identify interviewees and conduct interviews.
•    Assist with the logistic and documentation of event that will help with the documentation process.
•    Assist with the procurement processes necessary for hiring services such as writers, designers photographers videographers, event management companies, print materials, etc.
•    Assist with the preparation of reports and any other activities as directed by the supervisor


Qualifications
•    Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication, public heath or in a related field.
•    Postgraduate training or graduate degree in journalism, mass communication, health, advocacy and/or public health an added advantage.
•    At least 5 years working experience.
•    Strong internet and computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft office applications.
•    Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Job summary

The credit control team leader’s job is to implement and maintain an effective credit control system and minimize credit risk while maintaining an adept level of customer service delivery.

Job description

•    Ensure achievement of monthly debt collection targets.
•    Ensure adequate customer contact is done before account balanes become overdue.
•    Build relationships with internal and external customers.
•    Set and monitor appropriate credit limits in a converged billing environment that minimizes bad debt and misuse of telecommunication services.
•    Motivate team performance, enabling adequate work cover to be provided at all times.
•    Ensure that payments are correctly allocated to the appropriate account and against the appropriate invoice(s).
•    Respond to customer queries within your portfolio of accounts.

Qualifications
•    Degree in accounting or Business Administration.
•    Partial (level 2) profession Accountancy qualification or its equivalent.
•    At least three years’ credit control experience in a large, busy service organization.
•    Must possess excellent computer skills especially in MS Office applications.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to be fair but resolute when dealing with customers.
