Job Description

Reports to: Risk and Compliance Manager

Department: Risk and Compliance

Key duties and responsibilities:

Identify and assess the compliance risks associated with HOFOKAM Limited s current and proposed future business activities, including new products, new business relationships and any extension of operations or network;
Identify and keep an Inventory available to all staff of essential laws and regulations pertinent lo HOFOKAM Limited;
Advise staff on the applicable Laws, regulations, rules and standards and inform them about any developments in these areas;
Administer written guidelines to staff and service providers on the appropriate implementation of the laws, regulation, rules and standards through policies and procedures (Compliance manual code of conduct);
assess the appropriateness of internal policies, procedures and guidelines, ensure a to How-up of any identified deficiencies k make recommendations for amendments where necessary, and supervise the Implementation of corrective measures to mitigate the identified deficiencies;
Report promptly to the Risk and Compliance Manager on any material breaches of laws, regulations, rules, code of conduct and standards of good practice;
Monitor compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines by performing regular and comprehensive compliance risk assessments and testing; report the results on a regular basis and promptly where deemed necessary to the General Manager
Centralize all information on compliance-related issues (E.g. breach of regulations and procedures, conflict of interest):
Educate staff with respect to compliance with the applicable laws, rules and standards and act as advisor on compliance queries from staff members;
Establish and/or supervise appropriate compliance checks and controls.
Advises members of early alert committee on the pending risks and how to mitigate them.
Identifies risk or vulnerability in the compliance programme and takes corrective action.
Initiate an investigation procedure in case in of violation of procedures, rules and regulations
Monitor the safety of employees. clients and the assets of the company
And any other assignment in relation to the job.
Conducts training session of new recruits on issues of policy and compliances.
Qualification:

Honours degree in Finance and Accounting or Commerce or Business Administration Accounting option or DOBS with professional training such as ATC, CPA or ACCA Level II.
Knowledge of computer application packages
A minimum of two years experience in direct execution or planning for audit engagements from a reputable organization.

Must be able to travel up country frequently
Must be able to relate well with workmates but remain focused and independent on his key result areas
Must have analytical and investigative
Excellent report writing

Primary Responsibilities:

Job Purpose:

Academic background, Experience & Person Specifications;

A minimum of a Masters’ degree in Communications for Social and Behaviour Change or closely related fields coupled with program-level field experience.
At least 7 years of experience in implementing community-based or related programs required.
Experience working in and leading social and behaviour change communications programs for nutrition preferred.
Degree in nutrition a plus.
Excellent English written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability in developing effective tools and materials for field use.
Demonstrated ability to initiate and manage significant technical activities, including designing assessments, implementing qualitative research, identifying and collaborating with partners, and managing implementation of nutrition SBCC Interventions.

The SBCC/CM Specialist is supervised by the Social and Behaviour Change Communications-Nutrition Advisor.

Academic background, Experience & Person Specifications;

A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in Social Sciences. Social Work and Social Administration, Community Development, Community Psychology, Public Health or Nutrition. Master’s degree in the relevant field is an added advantage.
At least 4 years of proven experience in Implementing community-based nutrition or related programs/ interventions
Experience working in social behaviour change programs or related activities—formative research, strategy development

Reports to: Program Manager – Food Security and Recovery

Duration: Two Years

Job Summary:

The Project Manager – Food Security and Livelihoods will plan, organize and direct the Food Security and Livelihoods Project of URCS, will be the lead person on all recovery/food security matters and coordinate with other stakeholders/ agencies having recovery/food security responsibilities within the URCS /GRC Abim Project.

Specific Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Ensures timely and quality submission of all project reports, updates and Situational reports to the Branch Manager;
Ensures the timely provision of project updates to the supervisors as well as additional information to be used for fundraising and media when required;
Provides timely security information to the branch as a priority:
Undertakes monitoring of projects through field visits and ongoing communication to review progress, feedback, identify corrective actions required and captures learning’s:
Enlists the cooperation of all stakeholders in pursuing the project objectives
Within project plans and agreed budget, provides a full, accurate and timely accounting of all funds.
Promotes after action reviews/lessons learned and encourages an openness to feedback from beneficiaries and communities and learning’s;
Undertakes and guides project proposals on behalf of community groups together with Project focal Persons and provides progress reports.
