• Drives URCS vehicle assigned in a safe conscious manner to authorized destinations.
• Purchases office materials, collects Performa invoices and ensures timely . payments.
• Carries out daily vehicle inspection and ensures that they are tidy at all times.
• Reports malfunctioning of the vehicle and ensures regular maintenance.
• Fuels the vehicle, accurately fills in the log book for all movements and fuel dispensed and submits monthly mileage report to the Logistics directorate.
• Keeps the vehicle safe, including all vehicle tools and equipment.

Job Summary:

The Project Manager – Urban Risk Reduction will be part of the URCS team and be primarily responsible for branch level implementation of the piloting Urban Risk Reduction project in Lira and Gulu municipalities supported by American Red Cross.
Specific Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Leads field level implementation of Urban Disaster Risk Reduction according to project design.
• Supports the development of project work plans with clear work breakdown structures.
• Mentors branches and community groups including first responder teams on project requirements and accomplishments.

Experience of working on community managed risk reduction projects is an added advantage. Key Responsibilities

7. Review latrine designs ensuring that they are appropriate to each given context; aspects such as cost, environmental standards, sustainability should be considered.
8. Keep database of all water supply and sanitation projects implemented under the county program. This to include geo-coordinates of water points, water quality, quantity and depths of boreholes and shallow wells etc.

Requirement:
Required Qualifications and Skills

Project Profile: MHealth is an intervention in public health that is most commonly used in reference to using mobile communication devices. The mHealth field has emerged as a sub-segment of eHealth, the use of information and communication technology (ICT) such as computers, mobile phones, communications satellite, patient monitors, etc., for health services and information. MHealth applications include the use of mobile devices in collecting community and clinical health data, delivery of healthcare information to practitioners and other actors in the health sectors.
Purpose of position:
To provide leadership in all mheatth interventions for World Vision Uganda and ensure that roll out of projects using mhealth technology are compliant to the ICT laws and regulations of the country and are compatible to the global IT standards of World Vision.
Key Result Areas: Project Management:
Take the lead in the roll out of mheatth projects in World Vision Uganda by ensuring that the projects are using the most appropriate innovative and cost effective technologies.
Provide necessary technical guidance to project implemention during the course of the project
Manage, supervise and build capacity of mhealth staff.

Monitoring, Reporting and Evaluation:
Ensure that all mhealth and other related deliverables are achieved according to the detailed implementation plan.
To work with the Program office in the preparation of quality project reports and ensuring that they are submitted on time to support offices and donors.
Work with health staff and program development team in the roll out of baseline surveys and evaluation of project

Documentation, Research and Learning:
Generate relevant reports from mhealth systems and ensure that mhealth stakeholder have access to information.
Documentation of best practices and success stories in the application of mhealth interventions.
Identify innovative trends and new technologies that can be applied or used in WV health programming.
Contribute to the testing, appraisal, eventual promotion and adoption of innovative
ICT4D applications within WVU and among WVU partner organizations; Capacity Building:
Provide or create venues for learning for other WV staff to learn and apply
Mhealth in programming by conducting mhealth trainings and exhibitions.

Partnership Development:
• Liaise with development agencies and partners on collaborative work related to mheatth and other initiatives

Requirement:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A university degree in IT or related field with further training in computer programming and IT project management approaches.
2-3 years of relevant professional experience in the mhealth domain as well as exposure to the full project cycle (i.e., programming, project processing to project administration); International NGO experience or in communications industry will be an advantage.
Experienced and having keen interest in mhealth in the contexts of Uganda/East Africa.
Proficient in the use of a range of innovative technologies. These may include mobile or PC-based ICTs, phone (SMS) and SMS to web technologies and broadcasting. Eager to discover and explore mhealth application appropriate to WVU working contexts.
Experience in the integration of new technologies in development programs like health, education, water and sanitation with an intention of improving the well being of children.
Experienced team worker. Encourages cooperation within and between teams and promotes the value of diversity in teams, such as in different views, culture, nationality, and gender.
Must be a committed Christian

Linkage Coordinator -
Number of vacant positions: 3
Locations: Masaka, St. Balikuddembe & Soroti clinics

Reporting to: Doctor incharge
Purpose: S/he will be responsible for monitoring of all HIV positive clients linked into care and treatment services and will be responsible for tracking those lost to follow up (LTFU). The person will work closely with the clinical teams in the accredited ART sites, sub county focal persons and Village Health Teams to ensure appropriate and timely linkage and tracking. In addition the person will also support the ART teams and supervise staff nurses attached to ART sites.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance in the implementation of demand creation for HCT and ART
Ensure that all clients diagnosed HIV positive are linked to care and treatment facilities/providers and tracking of those Lost To Follow Up
Support training of lay cadres and other service providers with regard to linkage to care and follow up
Work closely with the clinical teams to adequately forecast and plan for HIV/AIDS commodity needs
Provide technical support to the ART Clinic implementation team with regard to provision of comprehensive HIV care services.
Provide technical support to participating partners to ensure successful implementation of linkages and follow up
Document all lessons learnt and best practices with regard to linkages for replication to other AHF-UC sites and partners.
Ensure correct and timely data collection and reporting by health facilities and lay cadres
Any other duties assigned

Requirement:
Qualification and Work experience
A bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, health administration or related discipline
A minimum of two years of experience coordinating behavior change communication activities and capacity building at the community level around the areas of HIV, TB, and sexual health
Experience facilitating dialogues between community stakeholders, heath providers and local and national government
Experience administering HIV tests and related counselling

Essential knowledge:
Ability to ride motorbike and possession of clean riding license.
Ability to write operational reports, technical procedures, government regulations/policies, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Locations: Kampala office ; Key Responsibilities:
i The stores assistant is responsible for proper record keeping, process stores requisitions, receive deliveries from vendors, dispatch goods to the branches, update of inventory management software/tools, forecasting of supplies, good stores layout, safety of goods & timely reporting to management.
Qualification and Experience:
Diploma in Stores Management or Procurement or equivalent relevant qualification.
Computer knowledge a must, knowledge & experience on Tally Software is added advantage.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience, with an NGO or Developmental organization in a related field.
Good spoken and written English.

The post holder will be a junior member of the analytical team but’ with strong statistical and spreadsheet skills and good understanding of the principles of -economics. This particular post will be located in Kampala, Uganda and will be an important contributor to a range of our programmes of work in the Africa region and globally, including: the East African programme, the Better Data Better Aid programme, detailed analysis of financial flows and capacity building activities under the aidinfo programme, contribution to the DATA report, as well as statistical advice to bilateral and multilateral donors under Dl’s Global Humanitarian Assistance programme.
