HR COORDINATOR
Location: Kampala and mobilized to Lake Albert, construction sites or other cities if required.
Primary function: Handles National staff issues.
Responsibilities:
To handle HR staff queries for national staff and prompt responses to the same through the appreciation of staff needs and ability to propose HR solutions.
Manage employee relations through the sensitization of issues such as medical insurance providers, labour law legislations, interpretation of the HR policies and procedures and guiding staff on diversity and equal opportunity issues.
Monitor the working conditions of field based staff and offer support with regards to any employee relations issues. This will involve at least one monthly site visit to physically meet these staff and address their issues.
Sensitize staff on the grievance and disciplinary hearing process to ensure compliance and draft the minutes during disciplinary hearings.
Assist in conducting annual HR staff survey; generate and analyze the feedback and relay it back to the HR Team for further action.
Set up forums to discuss employee motivation and any factors affecting their morale or work productivity.
Utilize this information to suggest possible action points to the Strategic HR Business Partner.
Assist in the drafting of employee welfare policies and procedures.
Ensure up to date records on attendance, leave management, performance evaluation data, disciplinary hearings and other HR related data.
Work with the respective Department Assistants to ensure that new staff is settled in well; and confirm their receipt of all administrative resources.
To implement other duties assigned by the Strategic Human Resource Business Partner.
Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree or above in Human Resources
Affiliation to HR professional bodies such as HRMAU or CIPD will be an added advantage
At least 2 years related working experience
Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of General HR employee relations, Labour Laws and The Employment Act of Uganda
Clear understanding of Oil & Gas exploration and production operations in Uganda

Key Responsibilities
Provide financial advise
Conduct pre-grant assessments and field site visits to ascertain the financial capacity of grantee or partner organizations and provide financial advice to the DGF.
Advice partner organizations on the financial management and reporting requirements in line with the agreed partner and donor contract.
Proactively provide financial advice to programme staff at the inception of specific projects and programmes.
Provide financial advice with regard to on-going project implementation activities in line with the partnership agreements.
Carry out quarterly review of the DGF partner accounts to ensure compliance to agreed activities and allocation of funding and resolve any issues arising with partner organizations.Review of budgets and contracts
Review and participate in the development of the DGF partner budgets for accuracy and reasonableness of budget lines for various goods, services and activities.

Securing the integrity of financial information
Review requisitions for accuracy and proper supporting documentation before approval for processing of payments under the DGF.
Review and identify the correct data for input into the system and ensure correct entry of financial data on a timely basis.
Enter partner requisitions into the NAVISION system.
Update the financial database capturing expenditure levels of the programme with corresponding activities and ensure accurate and timely update of this information in the system.
Provide regular financial information to the DGF management and programme staff for timely decision making.
Provide inputs to quarterly financial statements of the DGF on a regular and timely basis.
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CA.
3-4 years experience in accounting or audit preferably in a multicultural environment. Experience in review of contracts is desirable,
