MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:

? Compiling and analyzing transport and road safety data and preparing conclusions and
recommendations.
? Designing and preparing preliminary and final plans for traffic control devices including
facilities for pedestrians and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
? Providing input for the development and maintenance of traffic management policies and
procedures.
? Developing preliminary engineering treatments to determine construction feasibility and
estimated costs.
? Investigating traffic problems and recommending strategies to improve traffic flow and

DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Mechanical Engineer for performing the following
duties:-
? Implementing the set work processes and procedures, standards and specifications database as a way of adopting a Quality Management System.
? Performing the day-to-day project management team role of executing mechanical related works ensuring timely deliverables, cost tolerances and Quality of workmanship.
? Implementing and monitoring both scheduled and preventive  maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance.
? Preparing and submitting weekly fleet and equipment status reports to the Mechanical Engineer.
? Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Applications are  invited  from suitably  qualified   Ugandans to fill  the following   vacant  posts
in Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), during the  third phase of the recruitment exercise.

 DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Supervisor Road Construction & Maintenance for performing the following duties:-
? Carrying out regular road inspections in accordance with KCCA road construction guidelines.
? Implement road works in line with set plans.
? Preparing requisitions for spare materials and submit to PDU for consideration.
? Co-coordinating the detailed engineering design for work maintenance.
? Maintaining a database of roads and bridges on the KCCA roads network.
? Maintaining a database of schedule of unit rates.
? Maintaining register of approved contracts and procurement reports in line with the set guidelines
? Monitoring road and bridge maintenance programmes.
? Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, annual and any incidental reports
? Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
