Job Title: Manager, Enrichment and Giveback (position 01)

Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities;

Managing programme implementation as per the agreement with MasterCard Foundation. And here the roles will include among others;

Support the implementation of key enrichment and giveback activities (comprehensive student support services, network of high quality institutions and alumni network) according to key deliverables agreed with MasterCard Foundation; this include:
Organise leadership congress for all scholars
Organise Training for teacher mentors for additional support to scholars Engage scholars in community service activities by organising workshops, trainings, internships etc.
Organise various networking events for high quality education institutions Work within and beyond Uganda to establish a scholars alumni network Support financial management and accountability for the programme Ensure efficient and effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders regarding the programme
Support Programme Manager to establish and maintain liaison with existing and potential programme partners and explore potential partnerships for the benefit of the programme
 Any other task assigned to achieve the vision of the programme
Reporting and analysis of various programme initiatives

Analyse informalion on various programme initiatives To assess impacts
Prepare programme reports
Ensure cross learning with other programmes and work in partnership with all BRAC youth programmes
Q ualifications Requirements:

Must have a Master Degree in social sciences.
More than 05 years working experience with development management expertise (and this should be in the education sector, specifically in secondary education, and or working with young people.
Experience of a multicultural environment, working and mentoring young people.
Salary: Negotiable

Job Title: Public Liaison Officer (position 01)

Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensuring liaisons and established, maintained and developed with all key • stakeholders. And this among others will include;

Support Programme Manager to establish and maintain liaison with existing and poienTial programme partners and explore potential partnerships for the benefit of the programme
Establish and develop relations with government partners at central and district level. Particularly ensure government participation at key programme activities and ensure flow of information to the government.
Establish and develop relations with educational institutions to ensure scholar enrolment and support
Establish and develop relations with other development partners as required
Ensure efficient and effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders regarding the programme
Any other task assigned to achieve the vision of the programme.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Must have a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences
Experience of working with the Government and multiple stakeholders
More than 05 years of work experience with Government, stake-holders
Good knowledge on Ugandan Government structures
Experience of working in a multicultural environment ‘
Good team player
Salary: Negotiable

Job Location: BRAC Country Office in Kampala (with lots of field work)

Regional Coordinator Jobs at BRAC Uganda


Job Title: Regional Coordinator (position 08)

Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing programme implementation as per the agreement with MasterCard Foundation. And here Ihe roles will include among others;

Support implementation of all activities. (Scholar selection and recruitment, educational support, comprehensive student support services, network of high quality institutions and alumni network) are implemented according to key deliverables agreed with MasterCard Foundation for respective regions, this includes:
Ensure selection and recruitment of scholars are done in a participatory and transparent manner
Follow up with scholars enrolled in their region by making regular
supervision visits and maintaining close contact with scholars, teachers
(particularly teacher mentors), parents, communities etc.
Implement enrichment and give back components by following up on
various trainings, community work by scholars etc..
Assist in the organising of the leadership congress of scholars
Assist in establishing a scholars’ alumni network
Ensure financial management and accountability for the programme by ensuring cost and cash management is as per procedures Ensure efficient and effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders regarding the programme
Establish and maintain liaison with existing and potential programme
partners and explore potential partnerships for the benefit of the programme
Work closely with other BRAC programmes in the region
Any other task assigned to achieve the vision of the programme
Reporting and analysis of various programme initiatives, this will include;

Report on programme achievements to the Assistant Programme Manager. Bring to the atfention of the management any gaps in programme planning and implemenTaTion
Prepare programme reports as required
Support research, monitoring, communication activities of the programme ‘ Ensure cross learning with other programmes and work in partnership with all BRAC programmes, particularly youth programmes.
Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors Degree
More than 04 years working experience with development programme management expertise. And also experience in working with a multicultural environment,
Experience of working in programme implementation, specifically in
secondary education and/or working with young people Good team player and demonstrated leadership qualities. Previous knowledge and experience of working with BRAC
Job Location: field based (up-country)

Direct supervisor: Program Manager

Salary: Level 10, According to BRAC Uganda’s salary standard structure.
