The WASH in Schools Project Officer will ensure that consistent high quality, technically viable water, sanitation and hygiene services are provided under CRS’-supported IWRM project at schools.
The suitable candidate will preferably have qualifications including, but not limited to;
University degree in any one of the following disciplines: Public Health, Civil Engineering, Water & Environmental Health Sciences or a related field.
Experience in capacity building, training and institutional development.
Practical experience in preparing and managing infrastructure development projects and familiarity with national standards. Minimum 3 years working for a non-governmental organization or a reputable international organization.
Formal training in CHAST and practical experience facilitating CHAST.
Experience developing hygiene promotion messages and materials.
Minimum one year experience implementing a WASH in Schools program.

Medicines and Health Services Delivery Monitoring Unit (MHSDMU) was established in 2009 by H.E the president of the republic of Uganda as a strategic response to existing challenges in the health sector. The backbone of MHSDMU’s success is information gathered through various sources.
In December 2011, Ministry of Health together with WHO and UNICEF with funding from DF1D launched mTrac. It is a system that utilizes mobile phones to enhance the quality and timeliness of the transmission of health data thus strengthening health management and accountability. This is complemented by a strategy to provide a Short-Message Service (SMS) Hotline for Anonymous Health Service Complaints and support for increased community demand for and dialogue around health services.

Job Vacancy: Data Statistician – 1 year Contract
Responsibilities:
Triangulate all complaints generated by anonymous hotline and generate monthly reports.
Maintain data integrity, confidentiality and efficient operations by following policies and procedures.
Run analysis of data and generate reports.

FIXED NETWORK MANAGER
Reporting to Network Operations and Maintenance Manager

Duties and responsibilities
• Develop and implement operational guidelines for the team and ensure that they are adhered to. These will include quality control systems and Procedures to minimize downtime and maximize network performance.
• Create an OPEX budget with itemized limits and ensure its optimum and efficient utilization within these limits.
• Contribute to the development of the Technical Strategic Plan in line with the Corporate Strategy.
• Maintain an effective system of
communications throughout the
organization on network performance
related issues and with key customers,
equipment vendors and other contractors
• Manage the deployment of new fixed network technologies and services and ensure proper Network working relationships
• Performance Monitoring, Quality of Service Management and Reporting.
• Co-ordinate the objectives and work plans across all the staff members of the Fixed Network team to ensure strategic plans are met.
• Follow-up with other entities on network problems and ensure they are resolved within agreed KPIs.
• Develop and implement a spare tracking Procedure for the fixed network.
• Handle Performance Management and staff motivation issues appropriately and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
• Prepare and submit training plans and ensure effective training within the agreed timelines.
• Develop and implement a Succession plan.
• Ensure BCM (Business Continuity Management) within the department [Provision of tools and spares enough to run The network

Requirement:
Applicants must have
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunications Engineering or any other relevant field.
Postgraduate level in any related field is an added advantage.
5 years’ experience, 3 of which need to be in an Engineering Management Position.
