Job Title: Personal Bankers (25)

Job Purpose
To deliver exceptional sales performance by identifying and meeting customer needs through selling & cross-selling of all Barclays Africa Retail products & services.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

Participate in specific product campaigns by ensuring that the products are explained to customers.
Agree, meet and exceed targets for specific sales campaigns
Own and manage personal product & channel sales targets to contribute towards the outlet sales objectives
Build effective relationships with branch staff to ensure that non-sales staff refer customers to the Personal Banker when they identify a particular product or service need
In integrated branches, build effective relationships with Customer Advisors to ensure that they refer standard customers who become eligible for Prestige products and services
Call customers when their accounts have been opened, generate welcome pack letters and send to customers
Personal Bankers are held personally accountable for accuracy and quality of account opening applications and supporting documents that they complete and submit
Achieve operational rigour excellence in all aspects of procedures and processes personally undertaken to ensure green audit
Comply with all general Barclays operational risk & rigour requirements e.g. KYC and anti-money laundering regulations
Conduct snap checks as allocated by the Branch Manager.
Own customer queries and complaints around account opening, loans and card applications and resolve in a timely manner
Build relationships with internal service providers (Operations and KYC Helpdesk) to ensure a quick turnaround time of escalated queries and complaints
Advise customers as soon as new loans are approved and encourage draw-downs on the new loans.
When the branch is busy, walk the queues- resolve quick inquires and direct customers to the correct counters
Perform any other duties as assigned.
When called upon, support the Branch Manager/BOM, open and close Cashier tills at the beginning and end of each day
Identify and participate in community initiatives to support as part of Barclays community initiatives

Job Title: M&E officer

The Institute for Social Transformation (IST) is a non- profit organization established in Uganda in 2006 to promote use of the Training for Transformation (TfT) methodology in English speaking countries of Eastern Africa. To this effect it is implementing projects aimed at building the capacity of partner organisations in gender mainstreaming, transformative learning and collective action towards their own progress.
The Institute seeks the expertise of a consultant to incorporate an M&E component in its projects.
The M&E officer will be answerable to the Executive Director, with the majority of tasks to be undertaken in collaboration with the IST programme staff and the partner organisations.

Key Responsibilities:
Assessing the existing M&E needs and processes of IST
Work with IST staff on designing and developing the M&E system including developing appropriate indicators and tools for data collection for the current projects to enable IST use the information for decision making.
Ensure that performance questions, information needs, indicators and related targets, methods, sampling procedure and reporting formats and procedures are part of the M& E system. Ensure that these supplement and link to the existing M&E processes of partner organisations.
Work closely with IST training teams to identify how they do their own M&E and how this can be linked to project M&E in ways that are safe and appropriate.
Conduct monitoring and evaluation of programmes
Prepare reports on M&E findings, as required, working closely with IST staff.
In collaboration with the accountant, provide the Executive Director with management information that she/he may require
Ensure that monitoring data are discussed with relevant IST staff and in a timely fashion in terms of implications for future action.
 Build the capacity of IST in M&E data collection, analysis, interpretation and use for decision making.
Support IST staff in entering and analyzing project data, ensure quality preparation.
Document good practices/ case studies

Requirement:

Ensuring Trocaire are up to date with statutory requirements in Uganda.
Manage financial tracking of receipts and payments and all of the necessary back up paperwork.
Maintain good working relationships with suppliers by prompt and accuarate payment.

3. Programme Support
Ensuring support to Programme Officers in funds transfers to partners.
Organisation of programme meetings, programme visits and partner visits.
Working with programme teams in organisating field visits/ hotels/ vehicles / logistics etc.

Requirement:
A relevant degree in Finance / Business / Administration or related fields with excellent computer knowledge especially in Microsoft Office suites
Ability to work on an internet based financial package.
At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
Flexibility, ability to work under pressure in addition to multi-tasking in a fast paced environment.
Good professional verbal and written communication skills and telephone etiquette.
