Job Title: Managing Director, Mwanachi Communications Ltd
The group is recuiting for the position of managing Director, MLC, to be based in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. This position is accountable to the group Chief Executuve Ofiicer Based in Nairobi.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and recommend to the Board annual business plans and longer term strategic plans to meet specific revenue targets, profits and shareholder returns.
Assume total commercial responsibility for the subsidiar, develop and execute strategic vision for each publication, acheiving agreed targets on revenues, deadlines,print qualifty and on Content.
Pursue growth opportunities for product development while enhancing quality of products, custimer care and ensuring loyal and service delivery
Build Coach and mentor a strong management team to drive business goals and build a talent pool for key positions.
Work closely with all external stakeholders to cultivate effective business relationships and ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of major business decisions.
Skills and experience
This is a senior position that calls for an experienced individual with a proven record in managing a fast moving consumer business to sustainable profitability, demostrate capability to work with multiple stakeholders and is an insiparational leader.
The ideal candidate must hold a degree from a recognised University, 3 years of related experience, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and Possession of MBA is an added advantage.
