About this Job:
Rural Credit Finance Co Ltd, (RUCREF) was started as a credit scheme in (Volunteer Efforts for development concerns) VEDCO an indigenous non-governmental organization to help provide financial services to smallholder farmers and entrepreneurs in its areas of operation. The company has since grown registering tremendous success in business and is looking to recruit self-motivated, result oriented individuals to join a team committed to building a financial institution that is to be a leading provider of financial services to micro entrepreneurs and economically active rural communities
Key Result Areas for the Finance Manager:
Head and supervise the accounting function in line with the company’s accounting policies and procedures and in a way that helps it achieve its objectives.
Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to management.
To take a leading role in fundraising operational and loan funds and to ensure good internal liquidity management and efficient fund management.
Ensure effective and efficient utilization of company resources through good monitoring documentation and reporting and liaison with the external auditors.
Supervise the management of company tax compliance procedures and advise as an internal financial investment analyst.
Monitor the internal control systems and advise management on the adequacy and/or need for reviewing the existing policies and systems.
Responsible for the overall budget preparation, monitoring and reporting
Requirement:
Education:
A degree from a recognized university in Accounting, business administration
A professional qualification in ACCA, CPA, or its equivalent.
Work experience of at least 3 years in a similar position in banking / or microfinance
