Company Profile : our client seeks to fill the position of Route Salesman.
Job Description : Key responsibilities • Driving vehicles and ensuring the safety of its passengers, luggage, supplies and equipment whilst in the vehicle • Deliver product timeously to the market • Confirm and sign off invoices for their loads • Report incidences and accidents • Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and tidy in adherence to PPE use • Write customer orders and sales contacts according to company guidelines • Collect money from customers, make change, and record transactions on customer receipts. • Listen to and report customers’ complaints regarding products or services • Call on prospective customers in order to explain company services and to solicit new business • Record sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record • Inform regular customers of new products or services and price changes

Skill Set : Qualification and experience • Preferably Higher Diploma in Business administration or any other related qualification • Minimum Ordinary Diploma in Business administration or any other related qualification • 3 years of uninterrupted work experience as a route salesman • A valid Driving Permit Class CM and a clean driving record • Defensive driving, basic skills in vehicle fault diagnostics and trouble shooting • English literacy and numeracy Business related knowledge and skills o Adhere to company truck handling procedures and policies o Adhere to the road traffic rules and regulations o Accord customer care and service in line with company values o Ensure that the truck has first aid kits and fire extinguishers o Update the truck log book daily and accurately o highly motivated, results oriented and dynamic professional
