Job Description


Our client Oikocredit is one of the world’s largest sources of private funding to the microfinance sector. We also provide credit to trade cooperatives, fair trade organizations and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) in the developing world and is seeking to recruit a result driven and motivated individual for the Vacancy above;

Reporting to: Country Manager – Uganda

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Solicit business from potential clients.
* Ensure that the clients service the loans in accordance with the loan agreement.
* Visit the clients for purposes of monitoring and to uncover additional needs.
* Liaise with all members of the projects team to ensure that projects move efficiently between appraisal, approval, disbursal and monitoring stages.
* Corresponding with, guiding and responding to enquiries of loan applicants.
* Guide loan applicants in preparing loan documents according to Oikocredit’s requirements.
* Analyze business proposals and feasibility studies including financial ratios, indicators and experiences that guide the management in making informed decisions.
* Prepare detailed in-house proposals for approval by the Credit Committee.
* Facilitate the loan documentation and preparation of contracts (agreements, debentures, mortgages, guarantees, etc) for funds disbursement.
* Responsible for building a strong portfolio within the region.
* Assist other officers in accomplishing required tasks in projects work especially sensitivity analysis, financial analysis and projections.
* Marketing Oikocredit by telephone, personal visits, email, exhibitions, conference, road shows, etc.
* Representing the regional office and networking with other relevant organizations when and where required.
* Undertaking any other duty or task assigned by the Country Manager or the Regional Manager from time to time.

Qualifications:

* Degree in BAdmin, Eco, BCom (Finance) with CPA (U).
* 7 years in credit analysis with a financial institution.
* Team player, confident, articulate, good communication skills
