 Tasks and Responsibilities:

Identify pathogens causing plant diseases.
Undertake isolation, culturing and characterization of economically important plant causing pathogens.
Conduct regular surveillance of economically important crop diseases in the country.
Determine yield losses of economically important diseases on major crops.
Study and understand the epidemiology (interplay of factors) of plant diseases.
Develop appropriate disease management strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Masters Degree in Crop Science or Biological Science with a bias in Plant Pathology with at least a working experience of three years.  Possession of a PhD in Plant Pathology will be an added advantage.
