Job Title: IT infrastructure

MTN is an equal opportunity employer that is currently expanding, and seeks to recruit competent individual to fill the vacant position of Manager - IT infrastructure.
The position reports to the Senior manager- Infrastructure.
Main purpose of the job is
To develop and manage all system operations for the Group Information Technology (IT), and ensure thatadequate capacity, system availability and excellent user support is provided. Work with and manage service vendor counterparts to ensure service infrastructure service delivery goals and objectives are achieved.
Prime responsibilities of the job:
Deliver and manage technology infrastructure for all tests and production environments.
Ensure the effective project management of infrastructure projects (new) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Help drive architectural improvements and standardization for all the infrastructure environments in a timely and reputable choice of networking infrastructure; hardware; monitoring software and associated application infrastructure (e.g. web servers; application servers and database servers)
Develop and enhance automated processes to release new solutions into the live environment in a timely, repeatable fashion. Define annual budgets and forecasts for infrastructure spend.
Ensure that infrastructure related disaster recovery and business continuity components are implemented, tested and audited against policy and guidelines.
Support the recruitment of key talent for staff appointments where required.
Analyze and consider various options available and choose the best option.
Contribute towards continuous improvement through the implementation of best practice.
Determine best means of reading the organizational goals/missions within the parameters provided by management
Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Degree in an IT related field.
5 year's experience: a minimum of 3 years in an infrastructure environment with 2 years supervisory/management experience.
Training in GSM, IT security, ITIL, business continuity, business risk management, coperate governance and general governance.
