Job Title: Legal Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide legal advise and counseling to clients .
Provide technical support for the development of an out reach and advocacy strategy by the JC.
Oversee and supervise paralegals and community volunteers.
Undertake community outreach sessions
Competences
Proven experience in working on legal aid issues
Proven appreciation of human rights issues .
Experience in coordinating advocacy campaigns
Ability to mobilize communities and work with volunteers .
Qualifications
Education ; University Degree in Law . Must be an advocate of the High Court with a valid practicing certificate .
Work experience ; Minimum of three years experience in legal practice .
Other skills ;
Lobbying and advocacy skills , gender responsiveness , working with indigent is an added advantage .
Age; 27- 35 years in the relevant fields.
