Job Title: Senior Finance Officer
Mercy Corps Finance Department is recruiting qualified applicants for the vacant position above .
Job Functions
• Ensuring donor regulations are adhered to for all aspects of the operations
• Analysis of actual to budget results to identify problems in accounting or compliance
• Identification or procedural or training issues to be addressed to improve the quality of report data
• Acting as the primary liaison for the field office finance staff for policy or procedure questions
• Payroll preparation cash forecasts
Experience
• Four or more years of progressive financial and grants management experience as well as understanding of donor regulations is required.
• ABA/S or equivalent in accounting or finance is required . An advanced degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience and skill with budget preparation and analysis , financial reporting preparation and presentation and the proven ability to translate technical financial data into informative reports.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
