Job Description:
A mine located in Manafwa District , Eastern Uganda seeks to engage the services of experienced service artisans .
Job Requirements:
Duties
• Promote occupational health , safety and environmental programs at the mine.
• Conduct Health , Safety and environmental training programs for management , supervisors and employees
• Carry out risk assessments and HSE audits , recommend necessary remedial action to management and carry out the required remedial actions
Qualifications
• At least a degree in environmental science or any other acceptable qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar position in mining or in a heavy manufacturing industry setting
• Must be a mature and self-motivated individual capable of working with minimum supervision
• Ability to communicate in the local language (Lumasaba) is critical for this position and will be a district advantage .
