Job Description
AeroLink Uganda Limited based at Entebbe International Airport, is a new airline offering schedule and charter services into Uganda’s National Parks. A subsidiary of Airkenya Express Limited, a leading airline in Kenya, AeroLink will offer a similar operation in Uganda. AeroLink will also operate turbo prop aircraft.
At AeroLink the customer always comes first! We require seasoned customer service professionals to personify this.
To ensure continuous accountability to our clients and our investors we seek to engage a skilled Accountant.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Set up, maintain and monitor internal Financial, Accounting, Operations and Compliance controls and processes/procedures
• Primary responsibility for timeliness and accuracy of financial statements and associated routine and ad hoc decision support analysis and reporting, including forecasts and projections
• Handling financial accounting analysis
• Maintaining financial statement/records of customers and suppliers
• Responsible for statutory compliance in both accounting and taxation
• Facilitate payment of salaries to banks and maintain proper liaison with the banks.
• Finalization of accounting statement and facilitation of statutory audit.
• Co-ordinate and maintain a cash forecasting system to ensure adequate funds are available at all times
• Prepare budgets, amendments and forecasts
• Manage bank relationships and accounts, local transfers and payments, to suppliers/staff through the bank account.
Qualifications & Skills
• Business Related degree with Finance/Accounts concentration
• Minimum CPA II required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• Must be computer literate: advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet, databases and Accounting applications; QuickBooks a plus.
• Strong analytical skills
• Self driven individual with excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
