Job Description

Epilepsy Support Association Uganda (ESAU) is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Accountant. ESAU is a local Non Government Organization (NGO) committed to creating a better understanding of epilepsy. Our programmes aim at creating public awareness about epilepsy; building the capacity of persons with epilepsy (PWE) to lobby and advocate for their rights, lobbying for disability inclusive polices, programmes and legislation. ESAU is a full member of the National Union of persons with disabilities of Uganda (NUDIPU) and is governed by its members through a national board.

The Accountant will report directly to the National Director of ESAU. The job will be located at the National Secretariat located within Wakiso Town Council  on Hoima Road about 12km out of Kampala City.

Job Summary
The Accountant will be the head of Finance at ESAU and will be a member of the Management Team. S/he will perform the functions of Financial Management, Management of Financial RecordsPlanning & Reporting, Capacity Building, Audit, Budget management,InventoryProcurementand Assets management

Required skills and qualifications
Minimum qualification: A holder of a UDBS diploma in accounting and Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, commerceor a holder of a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field.

Should have not less than 8 years working experience three of which should be with a multi donor funded NGO with an annual budget of not less than 400million shillings Knowledge of Pastel is a must. More information contact  www.epilepsy.org.ug
