Job Description



National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is positioning itself to be the Social Security Provider of Choice in Uganda. The Fund seeks to recruit persons with proven competencies, skills and innovativeness to fill the following positions within the Fund.
JOB TITLE: BRAND & MARKETING MANAGER
REPORTS TO:  HEAD OF MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

MAIN PURPOSE:

To develop, implement and monitor a comprehensive

branding and marketing plan in a competitive market

environment.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES OF THE JOB:

1)    Develop a comprehensive marketing and advertising plan.

2)    Direct and coordinate and all public relations and advertising agencies.

3)    Oversee from concept development the production of TV, print, radio, outdoor and magazine advertisements, direct mail packs, e-mail campaigns, websites, exhibition stands, road shows.

4)    Develop an effective media buying and printing strategy.

5)    Develop research and information intelligence strategy at the Fund, exploring ways of improving existing products and services.

6)    Monitor competition, studying competitors’ products and services, analyzing market trends and identifying potential areas in which to invest.

7)    Develop and create brand strategy and guidelines and ensure compliance.

8)    Design and implement communication tools that ensure effective dissemination of information to the various targets groups.

9)    Develop strong and strategic relationships through strategic partners and contacts.

10)    Identify sponsorship opportunities that preserve and grow the reputation and image of the Fund’s brand.

11)Support    the strategic planning process and implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility activities of the Fund.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Degree in Marketing or any other related discipline.

•    Professional qualification from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM), Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM), Communication Advertising and/or Marketing Education Foundation (CAM).

•    Post-Graduate qualification would be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 6 years experience in a large busy

commercial organization in a service industry with 2-3

years relevant work experience at a senior level.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

•    Knowledge of marketing techniques and concepts.

•    Networking and influencing skills.

•    Attention to detail.

•    Excellent presentation skills.
