GOAL is currently recruiting for various position based in Kampala, Abim and Bugiri.

GOAL is currently recruiting for the following positions based in Abim District. PLEASE NOTE THAT SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL RESIDE IN THE PROJECT/BENEFICIARY LOCATIONS.

5.- Community Assistant – Wash Based in Bugiri
The post involves the promotion of improved access to potable water and sanitation and hygiene practices in the targeted rural communities in Bugiri and Namayingo districts. This will involve a structured process of participatory learning and dialogue with community groups. The post holder must be familiar with the PHAST, CHAST and CLTS approaches and committed to participatory, community based working that promotes long-term, sustainable change.

Requirement:
Essential requirements
Bachelors in Social Work & Social Administration/community development/community education/Public health/community sanitation and hygiene promotion or a closely related field;
Three (3) years’ experience in an NGO set up;
Demonstrated experience implementing CLTS, CHAST and PHAST methodologies;
Experience in rural development Programs and activities;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Commitment to beneficiary accountability and humanitarian ethics;
MUST have a valid motorbike riding permit.

Desirable requirements
Ability to read and write to a high standard in English, Lusamya and Lusoga languages;
Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
Willingness to live and work in a remote environment;
Experience mobilising communities for community action;
Possession of an internal drive to move people to action.
