Job Title: Component Manager – Socioeconomic Livelihoods

Component Manager – Socioeconomic Livelihoods — 1 position
Summary of position
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Programme Manager – NUWEP. the post holder will assume the main role of providing overall leadership expertise on the development and implementation of NUWEP’s socio­economic livelihoods Domain of Change II – to enable women and girls affected by conflict gain the information, skills, support, access and opportunities to pursue and ensure resilient and sustainable livelihoods. Key Responsibilities include:
To provide strategic leadership to the NUWEP’s Socioeconomic livelihood component • In charge of the Telethon and Thune Foundation funded youth livelihoods initiative • Program design and management of • Responsible for Resource mobilization through formulation of proposals • Supervise and manage performance management of staff • Responsible for representation and managing relationships amongst CARE partners and all stakeholders, in consultation with the Deputy Program manager • To develop a monitoring and evaluation plan for Program Quality and learning for socioeconomic livelihoods plus the development of tools for program developments implementation
Requirement:
Minimum of a University degree in development studies, development economics plus post graduate qualification preferably in Agricultural Economics OR Micro- finance OR Natural Resource Management OR Community and Rural Development OR Social Policy" and Planning is a "Must"
5 years progressively relevant experience in the design and implementation of livelihood projects with NGO;
Technical expertise in financial inclusion and access to financial services for the poor
Solid skills in research and analysis, project reporting and budget management are required • Field experience in sustainable rural livelihood projects using gender analysis community-based approach and methodology plus familiarity with focused PRA/PLA/ SAA techniques
Excellent teamwork, communication, individual organizational, powerful analytical skills and commitment plus ability to display gender sensitivity and adaptability.
