Job Title: ICT Specialist
   

Background
The National Curriculum Development Centre is a corporate body under the Ministry of Education and Sports. It is responsible for inter-alia development of curricula and related materials for various level of education (i.e. Pre- Primary, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary), organizing capacity building courses for stakeholders on curricula and matters related to curriculum.
ICT Specialist
Duties and responsibilities:
Initiates and develops ideas on curricular reforms.
Develops and. prepares subject syllabi, teachers’ manuals, texts and other related curriculum materials.
Organizes and conducts writing workshops.
Writes, coordinates and edits curriculum units developed by the panel and other teachers.
Organizes and conducts orientation courses for teachers.
Popularizes education in the relevant subject.
Services the subject panel by planning and convening meetings, preparing working papers and furnishing the necessary data and relevant research reports.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirement:
Age: 25 - 45 years
Scale: CD 5
A bachelor degree in Education and a Master degree in Information Technology or Management Information Systems.
He/She should be able to:
To develop, record and deploy video and audio products, work and clips for use at NCDC and multimedia projects
Recording and editing of sound for use in projects or productions at NCDC.
Filming and editing of video content and effects.
Develop illustration of art-works and animations. Development of video games and computer games for education. Experience:
Should have at least three years of teaching experience.
